In case anyone might be interested (besides me), Sarnia welcomed a number of celebrities who participated in a round of golf. The money was being raised for the Sunshine Foundation and was headed up by local talent Mike Weir (2003 Masters Golf Champion) and Dino Ciccarelli (hockey legend in this parts). Why am I including such in this forum. Well, many time (I've lost track but 5 rings a bell) Canadian ladies champ Jennifer Robinson attended. I don't know how well she did, but the idea was to raise money for charity. She wasn't listed among these notables (Adam Oates-hockey, Paul Langlois & Gord Sinclair-Tragically Hip, Chris Hatfield-astronaut from Sarnia, Marnie McBean-olympic gold medalist in rowing et al).
Apparently it was a well attended event for so small a city considering it was a work day (think many probably took the day off).
Just a little something to add during those lazy dog days of summer :D .

I remember reading an interview with Jennifer earlier this year and she said that if she couldn't have been a figure skater, she would have been a golfer instead. So maybe she's good!

Yes, Gumbi, I would agree. Even when he doesn't make the cut (like this weekend) he's still Canada's best (with a pretty decent world ranking too!! :D

Nice to meet another golf fan! I have to admit, I can sit down and watch an entire golf tournament. Can't wait to see who wins this weekend's PGA! Was a little disappointed about this past weekend for Weir but hey, he missed the cut before the Masters too!

Gumbi,
I must confess, I don't really enjoy golf as much as you do. However, if Mike is playing, I try to be glued to the TV or the 'puter if he's not on the "scoreboard" for the top.
