Sorry it's taken me so long to type these up. I wanted to spend some time with friends after the competition ended yesterday and also wanted to wait until I had some time to actually write my comments on the programs, rather than just giving the basics like I did on Friday. Right now I only have comments on the senior skaters. I should have junior up by Monday evening and hopefully novice up by Tuesday or Wednesday (I unforutantely missed most of the novice ladies as I had to take a different route to the DSC because of ramp closures and ended up going the wrong way, lol - so I arrived late and missed most of the novice ladies final).

Senior Ladies Free Skate Final
1)Lindsey Weber (Winterhurst FSC): (1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1/1) Well this certainly was the best performance of the entire day on Saturday. After sitting through endless numbers of programs in which no one could get through with a clean skate, it was a breath of fresh air to watch her skate her program, completing ever element she went for. Unfortunately I didn’t note the music to her free skate, but I’m guessing it’s probably on her web site. Any way, she opened with a 3flip/2toe and then went on to a 3lutz/2toe. Definitely a great opening and it definitely looked as if she were attacking the jumps and the end result was 2 nice combinations. Her next two triples, the 3loop and the 3toe were a little shaky and she had to work to hold the landing edge (I think she was a little too far back on her blade on both landings), but she fought and pulled them out cleanly. In between those two jumps was a layback with 7 rotations and a back camel/back upright variation spin. The rest of the program went: flying camel, intentional 2lutz, straightline ftwk, 3salchow, a serpentine pattern of outside spread eagle/RFO spiral/RBO spiral, a 2axel, and a closing combination spin of camel/sit/back sit/back cross foot. She received a standing ovation from some in the crowd and a loud ovation from everyone there. Nice to see the full compliment of triples and good to see how thrilled she was when she finished.

2)Alissa Czisny (St. Clair Shores FSC): (2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2/2) After her wonderful free skate performance in group A on Friday afternoon, this performance definitely was a let down. But with the way most of the other senior ladies skated, it was certainly more than enough to remain ahead of all but Weber. She opened up her program in the same way as the day before with a problem on the opening 3lutz/2toe combination, only doing a 1z/2t but unfortunately didn’t rebound like she did the day before. Next was a flying camel to a donut (10), a 3toe/2toe, running 3’s into a 3loop in which she fell, death drop into back sit(5), a 3salchow with her hands touching down, a layback, a charlotte and a series of spirals, a popped flip, a split jump, a good 3lutz, 2a, and a closing combination spin camel/sit/biellmann/back sit/back Y. She started to get things back on track by the end of the program, but still not what she’s capable of. My main complaint is that the program doesn’t take full advantage of her spinning ability, particularly with her great layback that was not held long enough IMO. But I do like the program and I’m also happy to see that it looks like she’s doing a true lutz (if there is any change of edge, it’s so small and at the last moment that I couldn’t see it).

3)Alexandra Patterson (St. Clair Shores FSC): (3/3/4/4/3/6/5/4/4) Her jumping has been much more off and on here than what I remember seeing from her last season. I’m not sure why it’s off because she doesn’t look like she’s changed physically from last season. Maybe it’s just going to take her some time getting use to the better choreography that she has this season. Her expression of the music definitely is better than it was last season. She opened with a nice 3toe/2toe but then had to step out of the landing of her 3lutz and then added a 2toe, 2a, camel/sit/back camel/back sit/back upright variation spin, a fall on the 3flip, a layback with 8 revs, 3s, 3t(X), flying camel(4), and a forward scratch spin.

4)Amber Czisny (St. Clair Shores FSC): (5/5/6/3/4/4/3/3/6) She opened her Miss Saigon program with a 2a, 3s with her hands down, a layback with only 4 revs, a 2z (was intending to do a 3lutz, but it didn’t seem to be going all that well in the 6 minute warm-up), 3loop with a fall, ina bauer and a series of spread eagles, 3s with her hand down, a biellmann spin with 4 revs, a camel/sit spin combination in the opposite direction, ftwk into a 2t, some sort of a flying spin with 6 revs (I only wrote down fly, so I’m not sure if it was a flying sit or a flying camel), straightline ftwk, LFO to LFI change edge spiral and a RBO Kerrigan spiral, a split jump, a 3toe with a 2footed landing in combination with a 2toe that had a fall out to her knee on the landing. Once again, just as I noted with her sister, I think the spins definitely need to be beefed up more. Her layback is absolutely lovely, but I only got to enjoy it for 4 revolutions before she moved on. On a positive note, I like the choice of music and I really was impressed with her reverse combination spin (camel/sit). She skated it so well in the warm-up that I got confused as to which direction was her normal jumping/spinning direction, lol. Really nice to see someone spin so well in both directions.

4)Kristen Sheaffer (Starlight Ice Dance Club): (7/4/3/5/5/3/4/5/3) She opened with a back shoot the duck, a popped 2axel into a single, a 3flip, 3lutz with a fall, flying sit with 5 revs, serpentine pattern of spirals, spread eagles, etc, 3toe, layback with 6 revs, 3s(step out), 2t, 2a with a turn into a 2t, circ ftwk nicely done and complicated, and two combination spins to close out the program, the second of which included the spin she created with her leg above her head in a sit position (for some reason I seem to recall hearing something about this being called a “bug spin”). I really like this program as I think she expressed the music extremely well. The audience really seemed to be watching her closely, despite some jump problems, because the music is different than the constant repeats heard throughout the week and the choreography & footwork sections do the music justice. Here’s hoping she can get the jumps together and perform this program to it’s fullest. Loved it. 

6)Christie Jaszewski (Onyx Skating Academy): (4/6/5/6/6/7/6/6/5) She opened with a 2axel, flying camel with 7 revs, a 2z, 3toe that might have been landed on 2feet, a camel-change-camel (3/4), a 3salchow landed on the wrong foot, 2loop, layback, a 3toe popped to a 2toe on 2feet, 2a, RFO/LBO spirals, a diagonal ftwk sequence that expressed the music nicely, and a combo spin of camel/sit/sit variation/back sit/back scratch. As I noted, her diagonal ftwk sequence really captured the feel of the music. She got quite a bit of cheering out of the crowd during it, something that very few others were able to do on their own footwork sequences. Unfortunately I didn’t note what the music was.

7)Jillian Sheard (Mariposa Winter Club): (11/7/9/7/7/5/7/10/9) It was unfortunate to see her struggle in competition because her practices generally looked pretty good. Others were noting it as well that she was landing some decent jumps in practice but that once she got out in front of the judges, everything went down hill. Elements were 2f, 2z, 3s with her hand down, death drop into back sit (10), popped loop, 3z landed on 2feet, layback with 6 revs and a lot of traveling, RBO/RBI catch foot/LFO spirals, 2a turns 2f, spread eagle to ina bauer, flying camel with 6 revs, circ ftwk, 2s(2feet), and combination spin back camel/back sit/forward camel/forward sit/layback.

8)Jessica Saban (SC of Novi): (8/8/7/8/8/8/8/7/7) 2a, 2z/2loop, flying camel(6), 2s, death drop into back sit (5), 3loop that was under-rotated, 3toe (free foot was still in front on the landing), layback with 6 revs 3f that was under-rotated and had a step out, 2a(2ft), 2z, camel/sit/layback/back camel/back sit/back scratch.

9)Halie Bojovic (SC of Novi): (9/11/8/9/10/9/11/9/8) 3toe (under-rotated), 2a, flying camel(7), 2f/2t with a fall on the 2t, 2loop, 2z/2l/2l all of which were landed on the beats of the music, layback, LFO Kerrigan/LFI catch knee behind/RBI spirals in serpentine pattern, ina bauer, 3s under-rotated and 2foot, circ ftwk, death drop into back sit, 2z, 2a(X), and camel/sit/layback/back camel/back sit.

10)Stephie Smith (Eden Prairie FSC): (6/9/11/10/9/11/10/8/10) 2a, 3t(X), flying camel (4 ½), 2z, 2s, layback(7), 2loop, LFO/RFO/ina bauer/RBO serpentine pattern spirals, 2s/2t, 2f, camel/sit/upright variation/back camel/back sit, circ ftwk, 2a/2t(X), death drop into back sit.

11)Kimberly Kroh (University of Denver SC): (10/10/10/11/11/10/9/11/11) Nessun Dorma. LFO/LBO/RBO spirals, 2a with turn out, 2t(X), layback (5), 2t, 3s(2ft), 2z, flying camel(3)/back upright variation, 3loop(2ft), death drop into back sit (6), 3s(X), popped 2a to a 1a, LFO Kerrigan, camel/layback/back sit/back scratch.

Senior Men’s Free Skate
1)Fedor Andreev (Minto SC): (1/1/1/2/1/2/1/1/2) Fedor opened with a 3toe that was intended to be a 4toe. He also scaled back his next jump, a 3axel, to just a 2axel. The program continued with a flying camel (7 ½ revs), ftwk into a 3z/3t, diagonal ftwk, 3loop, sit change sit spin (6/5), a second 3axel attempt that resulted in a fall, sequence of spirals RFO and RBO with a deep tight curving edge on the back outside edge, 3f, a combination spin of camel/sit/sit variation/upright variation/back illusions/back upright spin, 3s, a split jump with a turn forward right into a 2axel, and a death drop into a back sit up to a back scratch to finish off the program. I’m not sure what the music was, but it definitely was a classical piece. He was in an all white costume (1 piece) with a gold sparkle pattern on his chest. Some seemed to like the costujme, some didn’t. As far as the program, the footwork was decent in it’s difficulty, although I’m not sure if it entirely fit the music. Overall though, I think this type of classical program, if skated as well as he skated last season’s free skate at Canadians, could certainly give him a shot at making the Canadian World team, although it doesn’t seem to be the type of program that will make a crowd jump to it’s feet at the end. It doesn’t quite build enough to the ending, but still decent.

2)Ben Miller (St. Paul FSC): (2/2/2/1/2/1/2/2/1) I’m drawing a blank on the name of his music, but Rahkamo & Kokko skated to it during the 94 Olympic season for their free dance. He opened up with a 3axel in which he fell out of the landing, hit a 3f/3t, 3loop, semi-sit side variation spin into a back upright cross foot variation spin, 3z, a camel/back camel/back donut spin that really slowed down on the donut portion of the spin, straightline ftwk which was a little slow, 3loop that resulted in a Zayak deduction because it wasn’t done in combination, 3z/2t, flying sit spin with 5 revs, and ended with some edgy moves – ina bauer, outside spread eagle to inside spread eagle, and a final combination spin. I liked the choice of music and thought he did well with it, although I would suggest some work on the facial expression during the footwork sequences (along with a little more speed). But I’m glad to see that he’s moved away from the Russian influences on his skating as it just didn’t seem natural before. As far as the placements, I agreed that he should have been second behind Fedor. They had similar triple counts (since Ben’s second triple loop could not be counted), but taking into account the better speed during the footwork sequences from Fedor & the Zayak deduction that Ben received, I definitely gave the win to Fedor.

3)Dusty Brinsmade (Onyx Skating Academy): (3/3/3/3/3/3/3/3/3) He decided to keep his Dracula free skate from last season which I definitely don’t have a problem with. I think his expression of the music is quite nice, particularly in the middle section. He opened with a 3t/3t combination with the free leg quickly coming down on the landing of the 2nd 3toe. Followed that up with a fall on the 3lutz, a 2a ½ loop 3s, flying sit with 6 rotations, diagonal footwork that nicely timed and expressive with the music, a back upright variation spin that fit the music, a low back shoot the duck that was held for about a full circle, a fall on his 3flip, and outside to inside spread eagle, RBO spiral, camel/back camel (3/6), 3s, 1a, camel/sit spin that was low/back sit/back upright with leg held/back cross foot that was off balanced). As I said, the choreography nicely expresses the music and makes it an enjoyable program to watch, particularly when he skates it well (such as at Midwestern Sectionals last November in Nashville).

4)Hugh Yik (Mariposa Winter Club): (4/4/5/5/4/5/4/4/5) He had a rough skate, not landing a clean triple during the entire program. He opened with a 3flip that had good height but he fell out of the landing. Following that was a 2a, 3s with a touch down of his hand, butterfly into a back camel(4), a popped lutz, a popped flip, a camel/sit/back upright with the leg held, a back camel/back sit, RFO and RBO spirals, ina bauer, a popped loop, a camel spin with a switch of edge, 3z with a fall, a split jump, and a flying sit (6) up to a decent back scratch. Judges were obviously divided between Yik and Ward and I slightly favored Yik for fourth, mainly because he at least rotated some triples, despite not landing anything cleanly.

5)Rohene Ward (Starlight Ice Dance Club): (5/5/4/4/5/4/5/5/4) Yikes! This was a total melt down. The crowd for a while was trying to breath some life and energy back into him in hopes that he’d turn things around, but it got so bad that even the normally loud and supportive fans of Rohene lost their energy. His program opens rather quickly with not much time wasted before doing a 3axel, unfortunately it was popped to a single. He immediately turned forward from that landing and attempted another 3axel which also ended up a popped single axel. Next up was his 4t and he went crashing to the ice on it. Following this was a flying camel with 6 revs, serpentine ftwk, another triple axel attempt that was popped to a single axel, a 3salchow which ended up being his only rotated triple of the entire program, a popped lutz, an ina bauer into a great spiral, a combination spin with a camel, a gorgeous layback, and a back cross foot, a popped loop, a camel spin in the opposite direction and then another gorgeous layback in the regular direction (I wish more men would do layback spins), a RFI to RFO change edge spiral with great extension (better than 99% of the ladies I saw at Worlds) into a LBO Y spiral, 1 popped flip, straightline ftwk with little energy, and a final combination spin of camel/side sit variation/back scratch. The quality of the in betweens was quite nice, but when you only rotate and complete one triple jump and all of the rest of the triples end up being single jumps, it’s hard for the judges to put you anywhere other than the bottom of the heap and it’s because of this that I slightly favored Yik. He also popped some jumps, but at least rotated a majority of his triples rather than just doing singles. Hopefully Rohene rebounds from this performance and does well at Upper Great Lakes and Midwestern Sectionals because it’s obvious he has the talent to be successful in this sport.

Thanks so much Aaron! I was getting worried when your report hadn't shown up late last night or earlier today... ;)

You wrote about Kristen Sheaffer:
<< ... the spin she created with her leg above her head in a sit position (for some reason I seem to recall hearing something about this being called a “bug spin”). >>

Yes, the "bug" spin is what Kristen herself calls her yoga-like spin -- you can see a photo of it from 2002 Nationals in her June 2002 interview on the old Unseen Skaters site at:
http://www.geocities.com/unseenskate/interaction/spotlight/kristensheaffer.html

[Note: The Unseen Skaters website and board has apparently exceeded its monthly server bandwidth today and is currently down. :( Hopefully it will be back up again by August 1st, if not sooner.]

Thanks again Aaron for your wonderfully detailed reports! It's the next best thing to being there.

According to Amy on Skatefans, Fedor's music is Grieg's Piano Concerto (previously skated by Sandhu and Liashenko). Ben Miller's music must be La Strada/Gelsomina if it's the same as R&K's from 94.

Here are my notes from the novice men's free skate and the junior men's free skate (ladies notes probably will come tomorrow):

Novice Men’s Free Skate
1)Charlie White (DSC): (1/2/2/1/1/2/1/1/1) Charlie opened with a 2a/2t combination, a 3lutz with a double three on the landing, a camel/back sit spin, 3f, 3s/2t with the 2toe only being 1 ½ turns and landed on 2feet with turn out), flying camel with 5 revs, 3loop, 3salchow, back lunge with a turn into a 2toe, combo spin, diag ftwk with some nice one foot turns, a 2axel attempt that ended up just a single axel with a landing on 2 feet, spin combination with back scratch on the end. Not all of the triples were neatly done, but they were clean and completed. A very nice job with 5 triples completed.

2)William Brewster (DSC): (2/1/1/2/2/1/2/2/2) His program is West Side Story. He opened with a 3toe that had a lean forward but certainly was clean, 3s/2t, back camel spin, 2z, 2loop out of nowhere, 3s, camel/sit/back sit/back upright variation combination spin that was nicely centered and had neat positions, 2f that was perfectly straight, flying camel with 4 revs, 2a, walley walley turn 2f, diagonal steps, death drop into back sit with 6 revs. Everything was extremely nice and neat. Precision and exactness are the key words with his skating. The technique on the jumps is precisely correct, the positions in the spins are entirely exact and well defined, and his overall style is one of refined simplicity. Can you tell I like his skating? There just really is nothing at all to pick at in his skating. People were in an absolute hush as he skated and the only sounds that one could hear was the occasional person commenting to the person next to them about how clean everything was. I’m not saying he is one of those balletic skaters that you oooh and ahhh over – I am saying he is a skater with absolutely nothing to pick about and that leaves you with a very satisfied impression when he’s finished a program. Loved the choice of music for him as he did a great job hitting elements right on the beats and highlights of the music.

3)Jonathan Cassar (DSC): (3/3/5/4/4/3/3/3/3) 2a, 3loop/2loop, death drop into back sit, 2a(X), 3s/2t, back lunge then up into a 2t, camel/sit/back camel/back sit into back Galindo, 3loop that was under-rotated, 2z, 2f, flying sit (7). A sweep by the DSC novice men of the podium here.

4)Osadolo Irowa (DuPage FSC): (4/6/4/3/3/6/4/4/5) 3s/2t, 3f with double threes, 3t with a fall, flying camel with 4 revs, 2z/1loop, death drop into back sit with 4 revs, 3loop, camel/back camel (4/4 – back portion was sort of weak in position and centering), spread eagle to 2a, 2s, serpentine ftwk that had a bit of an off-balance moment, 2a, combo spin of camel/sit/back sit/back scratch. This was a decent skate and I was tempted to place it in the top 3, but I think some of the quality problems I noted (camel spin and balance problem in ftwk) were enough to place him 4th. But good for him to be landing some of the more difficult triples.

5)Frank Huber (Skating Academy of Plymouth): (5/4/3/6/8/4/7/5/4) 3s with a fall, 2z, 2a/2t and I noted he had cat feet to be able to land the 2axel which looked kind of crooked, 2s landed on 2 feet, 2loop, camel/sit/back sit, 2a, ftwk into 2z/2loop, 2f, flying camel with 5 revs, forward scratch. I noted that he had nice speed and kept up well with his music.

6)Eric Reinhart (Broadmoor): (6/5/6/5/7/5/5/6/6) 2a, 3t(2ft), death drop into back sit (6), 2loop, 3s that was slightly under-rotated and in combo with a 2toe, 2f, flying camel with 5 revs, 2a/2t, 2z/2t, choreographical split flip jump, final spin.

7)Brandon Boxberger (Mariposa Winter Club): (8/7/7/7/12/7/6/8/11) 3loop, 2z (1 ½ turns landed forward), 3s/2t, flying camel (7 ½), 3f(X), s/s (6/5), 2t, 1a, 2s, camel/sit/upright variation/back sit/back scratch. Skated to the music from Independence Day.

8)Rockne Brubaker (FSC of Rockford): (10/8/9/8/6/8/11/7/8) 2a turn out 2t, 3s/2t (step out of 2t), 1f, camel/sit/back camel/back sit/back scratch, MITF, 2loop, 2z, death drop into back sit (4 – did not land in position and had a big re-center), circ ftwk, 2z, 2a with a turn out, 1f. Skated to “Coming to America” and another piece.

9)Justin Williams (Port Huron FSC): (7/9/8/9/5/9/9/12/7) 2z/2t, 2a/1t, 3s(2ft and step out), camel/sit/back sit, 2f/2loop, death drop into back sit with 5 revs, 2loop that only had 1 ½ revs and landed on 2feet, flying camel, 2z, 1a, 2f, forward scratch. Skated to Man In The Iron Mask.

10)Trevor Young (DSC): (9/10/12/12/9/11/10/10/9) 2a(flip out)/2t, 3t(X), 2f/2t, flying camel with 5 revs, LFO, 1a, 2z/2t, 2s, ftwk into 2z, combo spin (a little shaky on the back), 2z, forward lunge with step to death drop back sit.

11)Daniel Schmitz (DSC): (12/11/10/10/10/12/12/9/10) 2z/2t, 2a (lean out of circle but landed), 2f, flying sit (8), 3s(X), 2loop (step out), 2a (step out)/t, rough spin of camel/back sit, ftwk with split jump & fall on the landing, 3s(X), walley to 2z(X), 2f, spin finished late. His costume kind of reminded me of a costume that Plushenko has worn before, I think during the Olympic season, possibly in his second free skate at the GPF in Kitchener (if my memory serves me correctly).

12)Joel Loera (St. Louis SC): (11/12/11/11/11/10/8/11/12) 2a(X), 2z/2t, camel/sit/back camel/back sit, 2loop, flying camel (4), 3t(2ft and X), 2f, 3s(X), flying sit (7), 2a (2ft)/2t, (wrong foot landed on).

Junior Men’s Free Skate
1)Michael Peters (Peninsula SC): Music is from “Les Miserables.” Opened with a nice 3axel, 3f(X), sit spin with 7 rotations, 3z, 2a to spread eagle, combination spin of camel/sit/back sit/back upright variation, 3t, back shoot the duck, outside spread eagle, 2loop/2loop, flying camel that needs some work both on the position which needs the body not facing down so much and the foot needs turned out and also on the blade position during the spin which was too far forward, walleys into an intentional 2z, straightline ftwk, 3s with a turn out, and a death drop into a back sit spin with 7 revs. He was the only person to land a clean 3axel on Saturday in either the junior or senior event and it was a nice one.

2)Jordan Miller (Jackson Hole FSC): Opened with a 3lutz/2toe, 3f, 2a ½ loop with some turns into a 3s (X), flying sit with 8 revs, ftwk into another 3z, outside spread eagle to inside spread eagle, 3f with a turn out into a 2toe, camel/sit/back sit, 2loop, straightline steps, 3toe that was a little swingy on the landing but certainly clean, flying camel/back sit/back scratch. A pretty good skate. The actual air position and rotation isn’t the most pleasing aspect to the eye, but he gets some decent spring and I liked the attack he had. He wasn’t holding back.

3)Casey McCraw (Broadmoor): Open with a 3axel that he flipped out of on the landing and then added a 2toe, 3z/3t with a step out on the 3toe, death drop into a back sit/back Galindo, 3s that was so light and easy that I can see him eventually doing a quad salchow, 2f with a step out, combination spin, 3loop with a fall to both hands, series of ina bauers and spread eagles, death drop into back sit, 2f. I have him listed as having done 2 death drops in this program, but I’m not sure if that’s correct. Maybe one of them was a butterfly??? His music was Beauty & the Beast.

4)Evan Gibbs (Broadmoor FSC): Opened with a 3z/2t, 2a, 2f, circular ftwk, flying sit with 7 revs, 3loop with a fall, outside spread eagle to inside spread eagle, 3s, back camel/back sit/forward camel/forward sit/forward upright variation, serpentine ftwk, 1z, 3t, butterfly into back sit.

5)Luis Hernandez (La Jolla FSC): 3loop, 2t/2t, 3t, flying camel(7), 2f, RBO spiral, 1loop, 2toe on 2feet, 2a, and ended with a headless back scratch spin. I really liked the flow and speed he had throughout the program. It was a nice easy movement across the ice.

6)Been Woolwine (DSC): He opened with a 3lutz that I think he put his hand down on, a fall on his 3flip, flying camel/back sit/sit, 3s, outside spread eagle to inside spread eagle to an ina bauer, 3z with a fall, flying sit(7), stumble in SL steps, 1loop, 3toe, 1a, flying camel with 5 revs. From what I heard, he had been skating well up until the competition started and things started going downhill at that point. Hopefully he’ll rebound when EGL and Mids come around.

7)Daniel Miller (Club Tecumseh): flying camel with 6 revs, 3f with a fall, 3loop with a fall, 2a, 1s, 3t with hand down and 2nd foot down, 2z from ftwk, popped salchow, straightline ftwk that was slow, camel/sit/upright variation/back sit/back upright variation/back scratch.

8)John Salway (Fort Wayne ISC): Opened with a death drop into a back sit with 5 revs and then moved on to his triple axel. The jump is huge, but unfortunately he couldn’t control it and fell. I could hear others in the crowd talking about his 3axel and the “bigness” of it. It’s a powerful jump, just needs to learn to control that power. 3z(X), flying camel, 2a, serpentine pattern of MITF, 3f that ended up being only 2 ½ turns with a forward landing, camel/sit/back sit, 3s, 1t, spin that ended late to the music and also had to put his hand down on the camel part of the spin.

9)Logan Giulletti-Schmitt (Peninsula SC): Music was West Side Story. Opened with a combo spin, 3s with a double three on the landing, circ steps, 2a turn 2t(step out), 3toe(X), flying camel, running 3’s into a 3loop (2ft and under-rotated and possibly a hand down), walleys into 2a(X), 3f(X to hands), tano 1z, flying sit(6), diag steps, 3s(2ft and hand down), 2z, butterfly to back sit.

Junior Men Final Overall Standings:
1)Peters 2)McCraw 3)Miller 4)Gibbs 5)Hernandez 6)Woolwine 7)Miller 8)Salway 9)Giulletti-Schmitt

anyone have news on the Novice Ladies? I would like to find out how Josephine of my club Riverside SC did? What did she land? How fast was she in comparison to the other 8 skaters above her in the final Novice flight?

When I saw her two weeks ago practicing at Club Tecumseh ( our club doesn't have ice right now), she seemed to be nursing an injury and only attempted her footwork, spirals and spins, just marking her jumps.

Other notes, she just moved up to novice in the spring.
