Barbara Roles-Williams gets bronze medal back on Today show

Looking at the medal makes me realize how far Olympic medal design has come since then!

I saw it this morning. What a sweet thing to do. They had her get up on a podium right in the middle of Rockefeller Plaza. It was a little anticlimactic, though, when Chuck Foster handed her the medal. I would have thought it would have a ribbon attached to it and he would place it around her neck, but I guess with the theft and all the passings around bet. different collectors, the ribbon got lost.

A side note: Chuck Foster seemed very soft-spoken when he was explaining how the USFSA had gotten involved with the medal's recovery. I sure hope he's got enough confidence to stand up to Speedy, Dore, and Co. Maybe he's the "speak softly and carry a big stick" type.
