What do you guys think? school, SOI or compete? I would miss her if she left skating:(. I think I would rather see her be on tour. :D
Well I already made a post on there about it, but I still wish I could have it both ways myself--Sarah the student and Sarah the top skating competitor! ;)
But like I said, she's got to do the right thing for herself.

I'd like to see her in SOI.
I think the growth spurt is going to make it hard for her as an amateur...she won based on the LP, was an LP skater, and I question whether she can do the 3/3 combos any more as just a matter of physics.
However, long haul, she is smart and socially conscious, and therefore, she needs to go to college or she will not be able to fully use those characteristics of herself...and so I guess I think she will regret it if she does not go to college at some point...why not take a year or two and skate with SOI and then go to college?

I think she can do anything she puts her mind to, I think she has a better chance of completing a triple triple than michelle or sasha or any of the other american ladies, I hope she stays elegible.

After seeing Sarah compete at Worlds this year, it looks like she's grown more womanly, which will make it much more difficult to fully rotate those 3/3's...
SOI could really use her for a year or two, but she'd probably end up injured, ala our last young Oly gold medalist...
So I vote for college - she's a very talented young woman, doesn't need to be known just for her skating, and will do very well in whatever she decides is best for her.

That's a nice way of putting it.

I think taking a year off will help her mentally. I do wish she does come back - much too young to pack it all in. I still remember the days of 20 something Olympians.. *sigh* How much younger is this sport going to get! :??
??!!?

I think Sarah is very lucky to be so talented, as an athlete and a student, whatever she chooses I'm sure it will be right for her. Right now I'm thinking she's gonna go with college. I don't think she can handle the Ivy leauge and keep up the world class standard of skating, including her jump technique.
