Where are F-P/M???

I have not heard anything from them for a while.

I was thinking, if B&K are retiring, A&P are out of the picture and L&A are just adequate, IMO, wouldn't it be prudent for Babs and partner to hightail it back to Eligible skating?
They could win another World Championship, at the least, and with the 2006 Games in Italy, they would all but be guaranteed a medal, maybe gold?
Any word on them? I miss Babs and her angst! :(

I just read an article about them in International Figure Skating magazine. According to the article, she is no longer interested in competing. She feels that her future lies in coaching. Right now, they are both busy doing promotional work for the 2006 Olympics in Turino.

Last I heard, they split up because he wanted to continue skating and she didn't: he's now with a new partner, but unfortunately, I can't remember her name...

Her name is Flavia Ottaviani and she use to skate with Massimo Scali, the current Italian ice dance champion along with Federica Faiella.

According to their official site, Barbara and Maurizio will continue with their promotional work for Torino 2006. They'll also be doing some shows in Italy later in the summer. As for Maurizio's partnership with Flavia, I don't know how that would work if he's still also working with Barbara.
