Would this be the 1st NAC, or is there another 'international' or regional event sooner?

Depends what you call major! ;)

The first North American Challenge Skate will be July 10-13, in Lake Placid, New York. It will feature Novice Ladies, Men, Dance and Junior Men from USA and Canada.

The Liberty competition, July 16-19, in Newark, Delaware, is one of the major club comps of the summer in the East. Many skaters from Nationals will likely debut their new programs there (Johnny Weir and Scott Smith, for example).

Skate Detroit is one of the big competitions of the summer. It is in Michiagan. It is July 22-26. We have the pair team that was 2nd at Worlds. We also Matt Savoie and some other big named skaters that come.
