I was going through some old skating tapes yesterday and found a really great Ice Time episode about synchro. The tape isn't that old, but it must not have been the best quality because there are tracking lines at the top of the screen, and the screen "jumps" every so often. Are there places that can fix this, and even put the tape onto DVD? Specifically, does anyone know of a place like this in Calgary?

Have you tried adjusting the tracking on your VCR? It's possible that that can take care of it.

I know where I live, convenience stores like Eckards and wallgreens transfer VHS to DVD for insane prices (30 dollars per 2 hour tape i believe). I have no idea about Calgary though.

Yes, the problems I described were with the tracking already adjusted. MyVCR does auto-tracking when you hit play, and I've also tried to manually adjust the tracking. Neither method completely eliminates the lines or jumping.
