NBC Broadcasting the 2010 Olympics

Just happened to stop by the Seattle Times website, and there's a link on the front page to the depressing story stating this:

NBC now has the rights to the 2010 and 2012 Olympics.

*sigh*

More packaged coverage in Prime Time, coming to a TV near you through the next decade.

i didnt think the olympic coverage was too bad last year i just wished they would keep switching back and forth from like skiing to skating ... it really drived me insane ... i wish they wouldnt do that ... i kinda wish ABC had it though :( ;)

*sigh* indeed. Lord preserve us...especially the people in my family, because when under the influence of NBC's commentating, there's no telling what I could do. Now we get to suffer at the helm of the Trio of Pain, Scott, Sandra, and Tom. These three are the worst commentators in the history of the world, in any sport. I would rather have a chimpanze commentate. Scott and Sandra are incompetant. They have extreme bias and try to shove their favorite skaters down our throats. Tom is just insensative to other skaters that aren't NA.

Why ohh couldn't ABC get the rights. They should have just forked up the money.

What's wrong with Sandra? She doesn't speak nearly as often as Scott. She's certainly better than Peggy.

But really, do people remember CBS? That was the worst Olympic coverage I've ever seen.
