I think that each and every one of them has a lot of outer beauty, but I can't say I feel like I know them enough to establish whether or not they have inner beauty.

To me, Kat Witt is skating's sex (can I say that?) symbol/icon, even after reaching the big three-oh for quite a while.

Oh, come on, it's all in good fun. No one is commenting on who's NOT attractive or anything. (Which I wouldn't participate in)

If you think about it, people discuss athletes in this context in every sport (almost :D) Look at Baseball and Derek Jeter, or Marcus Naslund in hockey, or some basketball players (I don't know of any because I hate basketball). It's just a fun thread to help us pass the time and cure our skating withdrawl. No one means any harm.

Though you may have said this in jest, I think there may be some truth to that! I also think that there's some effort made to make them look as fabulous as possible, don't you? Being in great physical shape also helps alot, and even female skaters that may not have classically beautiful features look gorgeous to me when they are skating because of the beauty of their form. Then again, people with faces like Sasha and Gordeeva, well, they are classic and could grace the cover of any glamor magazine, IMHO.

I agree with you totally. For sure the fact that the sport is so beautiful contributes a great deal. I know what you mean when you talk of the beauty of form and the gracefulness that most skaters possess. Plus, they are all decked out in beautiful (usually :D ) costumes and all made up. Most importantly, I think, is that these skaters are all in great shape, and are so healthy.

The hands down winner here is without a doubt Angelika Krylova! And I also think U.S. Sr Lady, Amy Evidente, Is one of the most beautiful women ever!!! But I may a experiencing some favoritism. Just a little!;)

Hey, did you ever watch Are You Hot? A couple friends of mine made me watch it one night and one of the judges actually took out a lazer pointer and would point at people's flaws with it. It was cruel...but funny. :D
