<<"The procedure went very well and was very successful," Westrich said. "Alexei will need to rest for the next few weeks and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. He should be able to skate again in less than two months.">>

Gald Alexie's surgery went well. Figure Skaters For Christ has been praying for Alexie. Our prayers have been answered.

Good for you guys, singerskates! I'm glad about Alexei.
Here's another article with a quote from Alexei...

<<''My doctors told me that the surgery went very well,'' Yagudin said in a statement. ''I hope to resume skating in approximately six weeks. My goals for the 2003-2004 season still remain the same. I will tour with Stars on Ice and do some competitive skating.''>>

Same thing as last year does that mean that hes not going full throttle like the past years... Hes signed up for Grand Prix's but does ne one know if he is going to worlds. I'm sure lil evgeni would be dissipointed o if he wasnt cuz his quote from this world wasnt tooo enthuastic.. "I'm world champion again......I...So...happy" It was like he was sad he won..lol

About Evgeni's quote: I don't think he was sad or thinking about Yagudin in that moment, he was in a mix of happiness and hurt. He was injured on worlds, he had an inflamation on his knee and he refuse to take pain killers (it has something to do with the stamina)
About Yagudin, for what I understand, he is going for the full season. I honestly though that he would skip GP and just do Nats, apparently he is doing everything. In a interview he said that what he really wanted was worlds championship, he mentioned GP and Worlds but he didn't say anything about Euros or Nats.
I think to do the whole thing plus tour with SOI is too much, but I think it would all depend on how he feels when he starts to train again, he and the doctors sounded optimistic

I just hope with doing everything he doesn't reinjure himself somehow. But I'm very glad he's doing well.
And Evgeny sounded like "ow ow ow" kind of... not that I'd blame him! Inflamed knees hurt (bruises from skating on the knee hurt enough, but an inflamed one's gotta be bad).

I'm glad Alexei's surgery went well and I hope he's able to recover fully, but even if he was healthy, I'm not sure how he'd be able to realistically do SOI and compete at Worlds! The GP series is a different story since most of those competitions take place before the SOI tours begin and Alexei could probably work around rehearsals to compete in those, but getting the practice time he needs to be competitive at Worlds in the middle of the SOI tour (where the skaters only get an hour or so to practice before the show each day) will be much harder...not to mention the time off Alexei would need to compete at Worlds!
It'll be interesting to see what will happen in fall...
