I don't have any news but I will take a guess on JGP assignments.
10 spots are available, 3 at the Montreal JGP and one at the other 7 events. There could be more, if other federations don't use their allotments.
I would guess that Flynn & Gislason, Granata & Yaeger and Piperno & Dougherty will end up getting two each with the hope of getting someone qualified for the final while the remaining assignments going to those who impress the most during the summer skating season.
I would look for whoever does well at the Huntsville NACS event in junior dance to get one so that should be a very important competition for Nino & Poje, Graham & Nuemann-Aubichon, Virtue & Moir and Karam & McGrath. It was really close between Nino & Poje and Karam & McGrath at 2002 nationals and they are two of my favorite junior dance teams in Canada so I'm interested to see how the competition in Huntsville goes.
What other teams are age-eligible for JGP events?? I've seem to have lost track of who teamed up with whom during the past few months.

I understand Chaterine M's logic but why would Sneft and Halam get a JGP?

Are Sabrina and Bradley staying Junior?! :o
Anyone know if Brian Innes is skating? If not why? If he is, is he looking for a new partner? I understand his old partner Mylene Girard is skating.

I understand that Brian has retired. Someone had indicated that Mylene was skating with Andrew Werham (? spelling) then someone else had said that was not true. I don't even particularly enjoy dance but I really enjoyed Girard/Innis last year a Canadians - their free dance was anything but boring and it captured my interest in the discipline when I first saw it at the Thornhill competition - so much that I watched the entire event at Canadians (which for those of you that recall had twenty something dance teams in it!)
Andrew and Mylene are definitely a junior team.

I don't think Mylene is skating with Andrew Wernham, I know they tried out but I'm pretty sure that they aren't together. She went home to Quebec and I'm sure found a new partner...I'll let you know more next time.

I heard that Brian Innes was working as a dance partner (well he was before, but now full time). I don't know if this is true, I'll be in Woodstock next week and will ask around.

Laura Stoveld may possibly have a new partner - they're just getting a feel for things right now and seeing how it goes. I'll post more when I get the whole scoop.
Hi....
You must be in our area....We knew Brian when he was with Kristy,we have their last performance ever,---my little one remembers Kristy still because she let our daughter try oneher medal---so heavy---from Canadians.... I think they lost to Sheri and Danny that year---what a charming young couple they were...we heard from some people at Zorra that he was wanting to attend university....but if he's partnering, we certainly all need the help----best get the calls made (grin)...
PS Is Woodstock your club??? Our little one has Wayne [at another location] for harness.....
Small world...grin

Are the following dance teams still together? I didn't see them on the Canadian Junior National Teams......
Destrempes/Tanguay
Pertucci/Carpentier
Allworth/Fawcett
Charpentier/Blais
T/Pelletier (2nd, Novice)
Also, are the senior teams of L/Zukiwsky, A/Cosenza, P/Perreault, and G/Boucher still skating?

haribobo: I can tell you that Allworth/Fawcett are FOR SURE split up. Also, I'm pretty sure that Destrempes/Tanguay have split up as well. I HEARD that Charpentier/Blais, Theroux/Pelletier, and Allard/Cosenza have all split as well (I don't know how true that is), but I don't know about the others. (the Perreaults have an official website at: http://pages.infinit.net/patins/ though if you want to check it out) :)
