When do we know GP assignments?

When do we find out the GP assignments? And has anyone announced music selections yet?

All I've heard is that it's expected that Elvis Stojko will do Skate America & Skate Canada.

I hope the official news is out soon.

News about participating in Skate Canada probably came from Elvis himself, who I believe stated he would be doing Skate Canada. As the hosting country gets a certain number of placements, it is expected Elvis would be one of them and it looks like he has been assured of getting one of those spots.

If Elvis does Skate Canada, I hope Jeff Buttle decides to avoid the event and come to Skate America. I would love to see him skate in person again. Fingers are crossed. :)

Aside from the home country slots (three for each discipline), I've heard that possibly the procedure for getting assigned to events this year is going to be completely changed, with the skaters having almost no input to where they are assigned.

I heard from a skater that he was aloud to choose where he wanted to competed next year for his grand prix assignments, although they are for the junior grand prix circuit not the senior grand prix circuit, so you could be right Tony Wheeler.

The assignments are out- have been posted at FSU and Skatefans mail list. Kwan and Hughes are not listed. Cohen is seeded- Kirk and Yebin Mok have two assignments (yipee!).
