Are there any new pairs teams out there. I came up with a list of teams that have formed since nationals. Also Are there any new breakups that
have occured.

1. Stifas(sp) & Weiss (Sr)
2. Hinzmann & Parchem (Sr)
3. Stiegler & Cording (Sr)
4. J. Miller & Ian something (Sr)
5. Haraway & Davis (Jr)
6. Strong & Charbaeau (Nov)

A few spelling corrections. "Stifas" is Sfikas, "Haraway" is Harkaway, and I believe "Charbaeau" is Charbonneau (?). I believe Jessica Miller's Canadian partner is Ian Moram.

A few others have been reported. In New England it's been mentioned that Katie Beriau and Joe Gazzola are now skating together in Simsbury and will compete as seniors. Tanya Bakerman and Chad Brennan are now skating together, presumably at the junior level. Elsewhere in the country, there have been mentions of Brandi Sandoval & Larry Ibarra (senior) and Katie Boxwell & Josh Murphy (junior or senior?). I also seem to recall reading on one of the boards that Themi Leftheris is now skating with Nicole Hartunian (junior?), and Janice Mayne has a new partner named Mike something--Modro?

There are probably a lot of others at the lower levels, but no others come to my mind...

I don't recongize any of those teams...So I'm guessing they're all American? Uhh, how about Lee & Faustino!!

So Miller and Moram will be skating in the US? Hmm, I thought they'd be competing on the Canadian Circuit for sure.

I don't think there's been any word for sure yet about where Miller & Moram will compete.

It would appear that the USFSA has narrowed the choices that M/M(Miller and Moram) have. The new residency rules require foreign skater to have lived in the US for one year prior to being allowed to compete on the American circuit. Ian will not have lived in the US for one year prior to the next round of qualifing competitions so..... I had the opportunity to watch them today was very pleased with their performance. They have two throws triples(LOOP AND SAL) and they are very consistant--higher and longer than with former partners. The triple twist is there and they are working to increase the height. Today, the sbs toe loops and double axels were on. Their coaches have been spending a lot of time on their singles techniques--their coaches are, by- the- way, the coaches of Jordan Brauninger an extremely promising and very young American junior. Their pair coach of record will be Bruno M. who is now in Vancouver. They intend to connect there with Bruno in July.

I assume that since you left that hanging about the residency requirements that the odds are that Miller & Moram are planning on competing for Canada? Too bad if that is so...Ian is a strong partner and
would help bolster the ranks of American pairs teams. I agree with your comments about Jordan Brauninger. I thought that along with Parker Pennington and Natalie Mecher he was one of the three most undermarked competitors at Nationals this year in Dallas. :(

I totally agree with you in re:Jordan Brauninger at US Nationals. Those of you who were not there--get a tape of the Junior Men's event ,long and short, and persuade me that the grading was not somewhat unusual. The international judges on the panel, I am told, all voted Jordan first. Of course, I could be mistaken and I do not wish to take anything away from the winner- he is a very fine young skater as he proved in Italy recently.

Since this is a different topic from the original thread, I've replied by starting a new topic in the USA forum at:

You may add Jackie Jimenez/Miguel Alegre Smith (Bobek's ex) who are training at JPIgloo in FL with Kerry Leitch and his team.

It was posted not long ago (in April?) that Karissa Strong and Jeff Charbonneau are training in Ann Arbor and Detroit SC with Joe Mero and Mitch Moyer.
