Brian Orser Skating Free

Wow, what a surprise! I have been editing old videotapes. Today I found an 1989 TV program from Lake Louise, Alberta sandwiched between some old Twin Peaks shows and a James Bond movie!

I'm not sure if I have the whole show. Brian begins skating to Lara's Theme from Dr. Zhivago. Then there is a nightclub scene where Wilson and McCall do a number, and Brian skates alone and with Tracy. Later Brian O and Brian B skate a duet...very interesting. Brian Orser alone skates to Harlem Nocturne, The Lion Sleeps Tonight, Imagine and The Story of My Life. There's lots of cute kids in snowsuits. Does anyone know if I missed anything?

I found a little treasure hidden away for many years. I wonder if we will ever see Brian skate again?

Brian's still skating.... Although it is true that there are less opportunities to see him live than before. I really missed him at CSOI this year.

I remember that Brian special! Skating on Lake Louise. Just beautiful. I love Brian Orser's skating - one of my all-time favourite skaters. Gorgeous edges.

Isn't it fun when you find these gems on old tapes? A few months ago, I found Brian Boitano's Canvas on Ice special, with Katarina Witt. It's not exactly a great skating special (in fact, I found it really funny.... Cheesy romance scenes and skating numbers with Katarina) but I really enjoyed nevertheless.
