Anybody know the U.S. teams selected for the NAC events? Canadian entries have been posted for some time now.

The top four novice ice dance teams from Nationals got the dance invitations for NACS.

"maria" posted that the following U.S. pairs have been assigned to the Cleveland (Mentor, Ohio) NACS in this earlier thread at:
http://www.skatingforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8088
(I've added their placement at 2003 US Novic Nationals in parentheses)
Novice pairs - Vlassov/Meekins (N4), Miller/Hess (N11), Butler/Jacobsen (N7)
Junior pairs - Keen/Sharma (N6), Yount/Marron (N3), Schmidt/C. Pottenger (N1), Uhlig/Loomis (N2)

That's strange, I thought they tried to keep the NACS participants within the ISU junior/novice age limits. Some of those top four Novice (U.S.) dance teams are a bit "old" for NACS.

I don't remember if it's happened before in dance, but the U.S. has sent junior pairs teams who were too old for international junior competition to the junior NACS event in the past. (Actually, I think one of the assigned junior pairs teams this year is Sharma & Keen, and he's older also.) Canada has done it as well. The point is to give promising young skaters some experience, and for a team like McCullough & Dear who can't compete as juniors internationally, this will be particularly valuable experience. Every other U.S. team assigned falls within the ISU guidelines for junior international competition. I don't see any reason they shouldn't be assigned.

No,Canada does not let Jr-ineligible skaters do the NAC. In Canada, Jr eligibility for national competition is the same as ISU requirement.

How does the USFSA choose who goes? is there certain criteria?
