I finally watched the movie. Totally weird. Anyhow, wasn't Tara supposed to have like a walk on role or something. I put the tape in slow play at times but I never saw Tara. BTW I can not stand C/D.

Yeah Tara had a small part when filming. But it got cut out of the final version.

I think the story was that Tara was on the set one day, so they wrote in a short bit for her on the spur of the moment--it wasn't a planned thing or anything like that. And it's not uncommon for directors to cut things after filming them, especially if they aren't essential to the plot of the movie--Cameron Crowe, who directed Vanilla Sky, is notorious for having a ton of unused footage, in fact, so frankly I wouldn't have been surprised if I were Tara. Maybe she's somewhere in the deleted scenes on the DVD?

Nope, Tara's not in any of the deleted scenes on the DVD, either--I remember people on some of the Tara message boards talking about this when the DVD first came out.
I don't remember all the details of Tara's scene, but I believe she was in a party scene with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz (??) I can't even remember whether or not Tara had any lines, but apparently she had to stand on a box/carton/something like that in order to match Tom/Cameron in height. :)
I think Tara talks about her Vanilla Sky part in one of her old diary entries on her official site; maybe you could find more details there.

I'm not sure but I thought I heard that Tara was shown in the European cut of the movie...not sure though. I seem to remember seeing a picture of her from the movie online somewhere before.
I too heard that her part wasn't in the DVD.
