Hi all (esp old fsworlders)

Does anyone know what Polly is up to these days??

Did she finally land the quad lutz-triple lutz combination?? And has she added the horizontal axel to her long programme yet. The last I heard about her was when she took the pewter medal away at the Olympics when she included the famous falling log-split spin-polly jump compination along with her reverse triple axel, is she planning to compete in worlds this year??

I would be grateful if anyone could let me know any information on what she has been up to since then. Is she still skating pairs with her old partner, Wally i think his name was?

Cheers
The Ice Demon

PS. Yes, it is Monday afternoon, i did have a bad day and i am passing time until i leave work for the day!!!

Oh a Polly thread. How kind of you to give me a laugh!!

Well I might come back when I have some more time to contemplate, but I love the idea of the horizontal axel. Most original.

I did hear at one show recently Polly ripped her dress open during her famous falling tree. But being the ever prepared person she is, she secretly pinned the dress back up (she always carries around) some spare safety pins during performances) very quickly and no-one realised she had even torn it.

I hears she stated she will be at 04 worlds. I also heard that she is successfully completing, cartwheel/moon-walk/quad lutz combo. Her competition better watch out.

Pooperak for GOLD.:P :P

Rumor has it that her new short will be skated to dogs barking "Jingle Bells" so that the ISU gets into the holiday spirit.;)

I remember the days when we had "Team Polly", which consisted at least 30 forumers.

I think The Team Polly entourage included a few hairdressers, bodyguards (to protect the press from Polly), and at least 5 costume designers (with one of them specializing in ensuring that Polly had enough fake flesh on her costume).

Yeah!!!!!!!!
I love Polly! I miss the talk of her eternal quest for the pewter medal. I started to make a compilation tape of her best performances, but realized that she had been "chacked" from every televised event she was in.

Does she not have more moves she created than Cohen does? The Falling Tree? The 2 legged Beilmann? The Carlotta? Too many to name!;)

I wonder if any of the other skaters know of Polly, or are they just too jealous of her accomplishments to acknowledge her existance? No other skater I know competes in singles, pairs and ice dance. When she retires, the illusion fabric business will go Chapter 11.

 I can't remember Wally's last name for the life of me, but yes, there are practices for the Polly-Wally duo all day!

I don't think Wally *has* a last name--if so, it was never revealed.

Polly, in a masterstroke of costuming genius, is having her sequin for each costume hand made in Germany, I believe.

Practice reports indicate all is going exactly as planned and the upcoming season will have some major surprises for Polly and Wally's loyal fans!:D
