Does anybody know if there was a Japan open in 2002?
If there will be one in 2003? (or even was already? but I don't think so)

And if someone knows IF - do you have some details? I've searched the web but couldn't find anything...

I think the last one was in 99. I am not sure why this Pro-Am is gone.. I always enjoyed it.

Well, I have results from 2001 and a strange remark about Urmanov performing Prince of Egypt at Japan open 2002 - but that remark was the only thing I could find about a comp in 2002....

Hello, I'm new here.
I'm@sorry I don't know about it in details, nor I can post any link and source of it, but I'm sure the last one was in January 2001. Alexei Urmanov performed Prince of Egypt but he could'nt skate well. Plushenko performed OUTIA and Yagudin did Gladiator, and he won.
Yes, I miss that competition very much.@Many great pro-am skaters used to come to compete .
As far as I have heard from my friends who are figure skating fans, because of the current recession of economics in Japan they can't find sponsors. I don't know about 2004, but IMO I guess possibility of Japan Open going to be held is little.:(
