Just wondering how they're looking, who's doing their choreography this year, etc. :)

They are looking good so far. I haven't seen many of their pair sessions recently but Liz can now do 3toe which they are planning on putting in their long next year (I don't know if they will do it as a solo jump or in sequence after 2axel...they practice both ways). I don't think that they have new programs yet. They are focused on the club ice show, "spring fling" this weekend and then Liz is skating Sr. Ladies at COS spring skate next weekend.

2A into 3T sequence would be interesting. That is the same combo that S&Z and I think the Zhangs do.

Anyway, it's good to hear that Liz can now do 3T because to me doing SBS 3Sals and SBS 3Toes means a more balanced and difficult program that doing two sets of 3 salcows like they did last season.

Thanks for the news, becca!

So I guess Liz is still concentrating on her singles skating? I would have thought that with the change in Canadian pairs, basically making them the number three team, that they would work solely on pairs this year.

No negativity intended. Just what I thought might be the case.

Miss Flick. Well...

O/S split up because O didn't want to skate with previous S....she wanted to skate with a different S. So you'll still have an O/S to cheer for, you see? :D

Who coaches Putnam and Wirtz and where do they train?

I reckon they're coached by Paul Wirtz (Sean's uncle) in Toronto.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this team next year! They were very impressive at nationals :)

Actually Liz and Sean are second ranked in the country right now with the split from Lenny and Jazz. Liz's focous is definately pairs but right now she is still enjoying skating singles as well. It is probably good practice especially for the sbs jumps anyway. Paul actually likes all of his pairs skaters to skate singles as well (at least in the spring).

Sean & Liz are training hard. They are coached by Paul Wirtz. Choreographers are Steven Belanger and Paul Wirtz. They have just signed with IMG with David Baden I believe.

Liz is improving her single skating to improve her pairs skating. Their focus is on pairs.

We are tweaking their official web site and it should be launched at the end of the month. If anyone has suggestions for what they would like to see on their Official site, please let me know... many thanks.

Brett

Ah, yes, you are, of course, right ;)

For some dumb reason I was thinking they came in 4th this year, sorry!

why back off of singles just for pairs, i dont see the harm in skating singles, i know skaters who place top 5 in their categories in pairs and singles you see it all the time, i dont see how her skating senior ladies will effect her pairs...
