I saw it in a thread a while back but can't seem to find it.

And while we're on the topic, how many OD rhythms are there total? How many are chosen each year?

Thanks!

Last year it was Memories of a Grande Ball. This year, it's a Swing era combo that has to include swing, jive, boogie-woogie, quick step, rock and roll, and blues.

The actual communication from the ISU states that "the rhythm of the Original Dance will be:
SWING COMBO
Any 2 or 3 of the following rhythms may be selected:
Swing, Jive, Boogie Woogie, Jitterbug, Rock n/ Roll and Blues
[but not Twist or Disco] "

Sounds like a fun bouncy year.
I really liked 2001 for ODs rather than 2002.
Pity B&K are not going to be here. I always wanted to see them skate a blues.

Edited to add:

This IMO seems more Wing and Lowe's Style than Dubreuil and Lauzon in Canada. D&L don't seem to be swing/jive skaters. They do better with the slower edgy tempos.

Looks like the Americans teams will probably do well with this theme, but I wonder how Gregory and Petukov will do, I've never seen them skate to anything like that before.

Angel01673 seems that I read on G/P bio that he was broze medal winner of Jr. Worlds and she was Jr. Champion the year of the jive. Seems like it won't be much of a problem for them. So you are right, Americans should do well this OD.
