After viewing "The prayer" by Roca&Sur again I remembered an old question of mine. They use a pose/life where she puts her blade on his thigh. Other pairs (dance and free style) did things like that. But I always thought the blades especially in dance are really sharp. So how do they prevent the blades from cutting thru the costumes?

They might have pads under the costume to help stop any cutting that might happen
When a blade is flat on the ground, or something else and the pressure is distributed evently than the blade rarely cuts. Once the blade fits to any edge then there is a shift in pressure and that causes the blade to cut.
If you were to take a blade and run it flat across your hand it wouldn't cut. But it you take one edge and do it you're bleeding away

Don't be so quick to say a blade on a 'flat' won't cut! (been there, done that--got the dual slices to prove it! ) I think the key to not cutting is the fact that there's only pressure, not movement on the part of the blade. You'd have to press pretty darn hard with a blade, whether both edges or only one, to get a cut (especially on fabric, not just skin), but add a little slicing motion to it, and it's more likely. I agree that they may also use pads to not only make it more comfortable, but also help keep the blade in one place, if necessary. (The strength of the lift alone ought to do that, though.)
