If Sarah turns pro or goes to school, those 3 may medal at nationals. But are they still injured?

Haven't heard anything too recent on Jenny or Angela. I think there's been mention of a back injury where Jenny is concerned, and didn't Angela have shoulder surgery?

As for Naomi, as of a few months ago, she was supposedly back on the ice (again) and hoping to compete in summer club events. However, even if she does make it through a competitive season at last, there's no way on earth she's a national medal contender. It would be a huge accomplishment for her to even make nationals--she should be proud of herself if she gets through the season, regardless of how far she advances in qualifying competition.

Someone just posted an update on Angela on the S&P board.

I don't think we will see Naomi Nari Nam on the National level. She has missed too many seasons. It is not impossible, but I think she overtrained too young. :( :(
It would make a remarkable story though. We have not had a comeback story at Nationals since Elaine Zayak.

Angela never really had all the jumps together. With Hughes possibly leaving, she may have a shot, but I think Ann Patrice and Jenny Kirk are in line ahead of her. If Angela could only finish a program off.

Jenny Kirk is a very nice skater, and I wish her well. I think Ann Patrice has adjusted better to the senior level according to this past season. I hope Kirk is healthy though!!!

I still think Naomi could have a future in pairs, should she wish to.

With the slide Sarah's been on, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that Angela, Jenny or Ann Patrice could medal even if Sarah doesn't retire.

I love Angela's skating, but I am beginning to think that she will NEVER finish a program cleanly. She just doesn't seem to have it together. I am beginning to doubt if she will even be skating competitively next season. Jenny Kirk is a nice skater, but I think Ann Patrice will pass her by this season. I also would bet that Beatrice Liang will be the new Tara Lipiniski. She has it all and she is so young. I think she will be the new USA star.

Well, I also think that AP will be better this season than Jenny. And about Beatrisa Liang - I read that she had a hip injury at the end of the last season. Does anybody know, how serious this is ?

I did hear that she had an injury, but she skated in the junior Worlds and pulled herself up quite a bit after falling a couple of times in the short. I think she fell in the short because of that injury. I hope that she will be okay when the season begins next fall!
