i heard about this mid-week. i'm back to my home computer now and am quite sad about this split. but there seems to be some really strange commentary abounding.
this is a team (of skaters and parents) that really worked well together by all accounts. they also happen to be one of the most "fun" teams to watch perform in competition that i've had the pleasure to watch. there are others of course, (ben/tanith, just this year, for example, and navarro/shmalo).
out of respect for their strong and successful partnership to date, i'm going to reference the "official" announcement (since phone numbers are listed, i'll also suggest you go to the "meta search" http://www.dogpile.com , just type into the search "flo steed and augie hill" to find two sources for their team website (one listing is under "unseen skaters" which links to the team website and http://www.ncassociates.com/floaugie (webmaster rod hill is augie's dad). obviously, they are willing to accept calls and inquiries via phone or e-mail regarding the partnership and/or tryouts by listing this announcement.
beyond the "official" announcement are the great photographs of flo illustrating her incredible physical abilities in lifts and "tricks." i refer particularly to the photographs under the "photo album "montreal" jgp competition.
i can't immagine that she would have a problem finding another partner with her physical talent and incredible presentation.
