Attending Worlds was beyond beautiful -- it was a birth -- the birth of the World Skating Federation - (WSF)! This group decided to expose rather than support I.S.U.'s Cinquanta. At the WSF's press conference, they said that Cinquanta's politics are possible because of a $22 million a year T.V. contract with ABC until 2004. After the press conference, a founding member of the WSF had her judging credentials removed. Cinquanta told the press that he had not taken them. However, did he threaten to her federation the loss of I.S.U. funds (TV funds)?
The USFSA and the U.S. skaters have enormous collateral against Cinquanta. No television company will give him $22 million a year without U.S. skaters. WFS was born to support a "judge fairly" policy rather than supporting Cinquanta's politics.
