Just was looking on the skater's on ice website and her profile no longer lists any reference to her training situation or any mention of Richard.

Someone told me she was in Ohio? Don't know if it was for pleasure or training though.

Gosh, I hope so! He's notoriously nasty to his girls - I hope she'll go/has gone to someplace where she'll get positive support!!

What did you hear about Callahan being mean to his girl students?:?:

Is Carrol Heiss-Jenkins still coaching Naomi Nari-Nam?
Who would coach Jenny in Ohio????

Yeah right, Callaghan was so mean that Lipinski broke down and won the Olympics.
Don't spread rumours people.

Callaghan was coaching Arakawa at Worlds. Could that have something to do with it?

I believe Callaghan's been a part-time coach for Arakawa for many years (going back to when he was coaching Lipinski). I believe she trains with him in the summers, and he must work with her a couple of time during the season in addition to competitions, or maybe just competitions.

When did NNN switch to Heiss? I think this is a dreadful mistake. I think Heiss is a good coach for junior and novice skaters, but not senior. She hasn't been able to do much with the previous skaters she's coached. Goebel didn't "improve" until he switched to Frank Carroll.
Sorry to be off the subject, but I'm really disappointed to hear she left John Nicks.

I don't believe she ever did, full-time. She did spend some time training in Ohio last summer but AFAIK she went back to California and has been there ever since.

This is my opinion but I thought it was more of a playground than a training center.

Well, the Lipinskis didn't have very nice things to say about him in Mark Lund's new book. They said he was mean to her, ignored her, etc.

Just to let everyone know Jenni DID NOT leave Mr. Callaghan. I know people who skate with her and I asked Craig Joeright if she was still skating there and he said yes. She hasn't been skating for a while do to have back problems but she is back now.

All I have to say is this. . .
People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
Callahan helped Lipinski become the youngest Ladies Olympic Champion in history and eventually a very wealthy young woman. How much could he have ignored her?

Jenny improved her basic level of skating so much in 1 year. Her spins are better, she skates faster, and her presentation is now one of the best in the world. Her Russian choreographer in Detroit did a great job with her. And RC helped her alot too.
I hope she will be healthy next season. She lost her consistency on her jumps because of injuries. A healthy Jenny can land 7 triples any days or nights...and she has the potential to land 2 3/3s in a long program.
Callahan is a great coach, that is for sure. But as a person, he may not be an angel! (no need to remind you that he had sexual relationships with underaged skaters...)
Nikodinov, Bobek did not stay with him very long, but Eldridge and Tara did....
It looks like she sees RC as a great teacher, but she had a better relationship with the Scotvolds in the past.
If Sarah turns pro, Jenny could go back to the World champs next year in Germany (where she won her Junior title)....
I hope she skates great next year...wherever she decides to train

This is OT as far as her coaching change ...
I don't know if Best Buy is a regional or national (US) store. But has anyone seen the Best Buy TV ad in which a guy fantasizes that he and his girlfriend are playing hockey? The girl in that ad looks *a lot* like Jenny. But I haven't heard anything about her doing a commercial.

The girl in that TV advertisement looks nothing like Jenny and is much older and much taller.
Jenny , in person, is quite petite, and very young looking. she could easily pass for 16.

NNN only trained with Heiss for the summer. It was never meant to be a coaching switch, more like a summer internship figure skating style.
NNN is back with John Nicks. She hasn't had any recurring injuries as of late and has been slowly getting all of her triples back. She's hoping for a return to elite competition next year.

I hoping NNN comes back next season. She had/has so much potential. I just love her face!

Yeah, I've been around her. (And one of the things I like about skaters is they make 5'1" me feel normal height. :D ) But considering all the FX in the ad, you really can't tell how tall the people are.
BTW When I saw Jenny recently, I also thought she was looking blonder ... but then, who among us isn't?

Jenny is 5'3" now....taller than Michelle or Sasha. Her body has changed a lot in 2 years. She looks absolutely georgeous!
