He fell apart at US Nats this year. That is why Janke got to go to Worlds...he skated good when the others did not....not to take any credit away from Janke.

Starting off at U.S. nationals he did extreemly well placing 2nd (behind tim G.) in the short program. Then in the long (when everyone bombed) he fell really hard and it looked like her hurt himself and he had to stop his program. Then he restarted and fell again eventually withdrawing. There is still debate about whether he was really indjured or just withdrew half way through the program due to his bad skate. After the short everyone was ecpecting him to make the world team. Other than worlds (i dont think?) there are many other competitions for people who dont make their world team. So basically he had a bad skate at nationals and it shortened his season. I bet he will be back next year and stronger than ever.
This of course is just IMO. i hope this helps.

He was injured in his fs at Nat'ls but is fine now. He's landing quad sals in practice according to what a personal friend of his told me.:)

Provided he does not pull out - he's doing an exhibition for us:

Good to hear that his nationals performance didn't discourage him. Such an elegant young man.

Just got back from the exhibition he did for us. He was PHENOMINAL! Landed a quad as well! ;) He skated a perfect program and our skaters loved him. He is extremely nice and so polite! It was quite the afternoon for us.

Thanks for the info Arsenette. Johnny Weir seems to me
to be the male equivalent of Sasha Cohen - and I mean
that in a complimentary way. So much talent, and great
presentation.
Nationals next year should be very interesting.
