Unfortunately, it's not the opinion most of us probably want to hear:

I, for one, hope that in time the WSF people will be able to rally enough federations to back them. I truly hope the new organization sticks to their *guns* and is able to follow through with their ideals. As far as Mr. Rogge, I wish he could see that short track/speedskating and figure skating are separate sports and thus should be governed separately.

Sadly, I feel that this only proves one thing - that the ISU and the IOC are in cahoots! Look at both groups - it's European dominated, whereas the WSF has most of it's influence from North America, with the exception of Sally Stapleton and Katarina Witt!

ITA. It's sad to see that the IOC people were just blowing hot air when they showed outrage during the judging scandals at the Olympics.

If they were truly about the athletes and not the federations, they would look further into the fairness of the new scoring systems and not be satisfied with just a change in these systems.
