North American Challenge

The assignments have been mailed out. Does anyone know who was assigned where?

I'd guess the USFSA site won't have a list up until they're informed of which skaters have accepted and have gotten in touch with alternates to replace those who decline. But if anyone's heard anything through word of mouth I'd be curious, particularly about the New England skaters. :)

The Jr. pairs event is going to be held at the Cleveland NAC. This event conflicts with the Indy Pair Challenge, being held the same weekend - one state away.

Indy has been, since its inception, the pair "coming out party" and a spring board to JGP and other international assingments for pairs.

It is unfortunate that they scheduled the Jr. pairs to compete in the NAC on the same weekend as Indy.

At this point the top 4 Novice pairs are still together and so were probably invited to participate in the NAC at the Jr. level. It's hard to say if they will all accept.

The Cleveland NACS is scheduled for July 31 - Aug 2. The I/WSA website says that the Indy Challenge is scheduled for Aug 15 - 17.

I don't think there is a conflict.

I know colin pennington and david weintraub got the junior men nacs at lake placid and that I (Lenny Raney) got the novice one =) I also know that jessie houston got the junior ladies one (wherever that is)

Does anyone know about any other novices that got NAC's? It'll be very interesting to find out who got them this year.:D

conc- very good point. I was told all this by a pair parent, invited to Jr. pairs NAC event and took her word for it. Not sure what the big worry is then!
