SOI Reviews-Cincy and Columbus

Hi everyone! I attended the recent Cincy and Columbus SOI shows and I posted some reviews at my journal in case anyone wants to hear how the shows were this weekend. You can read them here: http://heatherc.easyjournal.com

The arena was half empty and that was after many of the tickets had been given away.
the costumes look a little shopworn.
the lighting effects were fairly basic.
The sound system was strong on bass but too light on treble.
Jamie and david were great!!!!! they perform intricate in between skating as well as difficult tricks, and elena and anton were great. todd was in boring costumes but did good programs
The finale was superb, the beginning numbers were ok.
all in all, great skating, but the way it was presented could be much improved.

The Cincy show was the one that wasn't as well attended. The Columbus show was pretty packed (although the audience quieter at times, go figure! LOL). I was disappointed in the Cincy show's attendance but the fact that the US went to war literally the DAY before the show, it got like no promotion here at ALL that week in the papers or TV. So I can kinda understand how there weren't a lot of people there. They were pretty loud though at times which was good. Timing is everything I guess....8O
