Since this year's Olympics, have there been or will there be any new skating books come out? I'm not talking about the usual mass paperback bios of gold medalists, but books like the ones Christine Brennan and Beverly Smith have written.

I've heard that IFS's Mark Lund is writing a book--anyone know when it comes out?

It's hard for me to believe the book by Mark Lund will be either an outstanding piece of journalism or a well researched & in-depth look at skating. I have been unimpressed by IFS magazine articles & previous excerpts of his writing.

Now Dick Button's book might be interesting if he's really going to provide some in-depth material & Toller Cranston's latest book just came out in paperback this spring.

Here's the only post-Olympic skating book I've been able to find.

I think Mark Lund's book is supposed to come out sometime in November.

I wish Christine Brennan would come out with another book detailing the 2002 Olympic season like she did with her book on the lead-up to the 1998 Olympics.

I did do a search for her on Amazon, and it looks like she does have another book coming out, but it seems to be about Champions on Ice. The title of it is "Champions on Ice: Twenty-Five Years With the World's Finest Figure Skaters." It's due out in October.

I was doing a search on the chapters.ca website and discovered what appears to be a new book by Toller. The title is "Ice Cream: Thirty of The Most Interesting Skaters in History". It's on a ("pre-order") status right now and doesn't give a release date. That's all the info they gave. Should be a great read if it's anything like Toller's previous books

Toller's books are interesting & hilarious. I laugh & laugh the whole time I'm reading them.

Here's the link to Mark Lund's book if you really do want to buy it:
