See the announcement (http://www.usfsa.org/news/2002-03/strategy.htm?siteid=983) on their website. Interesting......

I wish the USFSA luck in gaining other federations to support this position.
I would also think this is a position that the organizers at SkateFAIR would support...it's a step in the right direction. :)

I personally see many Federations backing them solely because they were not the first ones to come up with the idea. Personally I don't see the smaller countries not following one of the skating super powers on this.
From this point on it should get interesting.. I like the position based on the fact that the Congress was never involved in this. I'm hoping the whole system is scrapped and voted on in Congress next year where I hope it dies a painful death. As far as the rest of the items - it's about time SOMEONE puts their foot down. Any idea if this will affect the judging at Worlds this year?

I have heard over the past year that Phyllis Howard has been working hard behind the scenes trying to affect some positive change in the system. I assume this announcement is part of the result of that work. I strongly hope that each point is put into practice.

Wow, all I can say is that it's about time they stood up and made a statement about this sham of a system. Now, let's see what happens next. I have hope for the first time since last summer! 8O :D
Isn't it interesting how all these posts express sheer relief?
I also hope Canada back the US.

Well.. Canada has.. uh. sort of (read Louis post on the Canada issue).. This isn't really a solution since they propose to keep the same system but just put the names up.. it doesn't address the issue that the system should have never been in place as a rule and definately not at the World Championships.. *sigh* this is far from over.. Let's see how USA/Japan can help in getting this judging system out of worlds.. heck.. bring back OBO until we figure out a plan to BAN JUDGES!!!!
