So what did everyone think? I was most pleased they showed more of the programs than we saw in previous broadcasts, and in somewhat the correct order (didn't the last broadcast on another network start with the closing number? :??). Loved Alexei's second number, but I still can't get into B/S "Elvis and Marilyn" number. The music cuts make me cringe. The pairs and male-heavy format this year is a refreshing change as well, although it's a bit odd that their only female solo is Kat Witt. Loved that green dress though! 8O :yum: ;)

I haven't watched it yet ... which programs did they show that were chacked by NBC?

I walked in late, just in time to see Kat Witt skating with Gorsha Sur and John Zimmerman.
Does Kat have the best job in the world, or what?

Actually, I'd say Gorsha and John did for that program. ;)

Perspective. It's all in the perspective. ;)

I'd say this is the best job any network has done with a SOI broadcast--A&E showed every number and at least part of every group number except for Something Stupid (which was included in the broadcast of the Valentine's Day show with Katia and the SOI pairs), Katarina's solo (which was included in the NBC broadcast anyway) and Alexei's Born To Be Wild number (the only program in this year's show which hasn't been televised in any shape or form). This is also the first time a SOI broadcast has included behind-the-scenes footage in years. So all and all, I'd say A&E did an excellent job! :)
I was also happy to see the opening and closing numbers shown in their proper place this time (even though I though both music choices were a bit monotonous to be good selections for group numbers) and I thought S&P did an excellent job as "backstage hosts" and I especially got a kick out of David's "Brad Pitt of figure skating...he makes the rest of us look bad" comment about John Zimmerman. :)
I'm also glad A&E is rebroadcasting this show early on Saturday--it's definitely worth tuning in if you missed it last night!

I watched only pieces of it, but what I saw I really liked. Looking forward to seeing it in person in NYC this weekend!!

I also quite enjoyed the backstage banter and goofing. Probably the nicest part was seeing how well B/S and S/P enjoyed each other and are clearly able to put the SLC mess behind them.

I've got to say A&E did a fabulous job. Also I think that this SOI show is probably the best SOI show I've seen in a long long time. Enjoyed each and every performance, especially the HOT "Cowboy" number with all the fine looking MEN on the ice. I look forward to seeing this show LIVE in April.
