Some of you already know who I am. I was originally from FSW then ran to Adrian's site. Most of you know about us so I thought you might be interested in attending our event. It's our second annual event (had to cancel last year due to lack of judges) for our both our Puerto Rican Nationals and the PRFSF Open. It's a USFSA Non-qualifying event to be held the weekend after the World Championships. Not sure if you would be interested but here is the information.

I really hope more for a bigger showing. I'll be announcing so I can actually watch the competition (perks when I make up who does what since I'm Pres. ;) . I'm excited.. I'm hoping to maybe see you guys there either competiting or watching.. I'd love some reviews and pics from the competition if anyone is just watching. How many of you think you might make it?

Just to let you know, I'm starting to get people for our Exhibition on Sunday:

Along with our Puerto Rican Skaters I've invited a couple of other skaters to help fill out the program. So far we have confirmed Johnny Weir and Kurt Fromknecht (both from USA).

I've always admired your hard work ethic in running this championship, Arsenette.
I can't attend (being from the 50th state), but I'm hoping for all the success for the event and the athletes. ;)

:P :D

Thanks.. It's been a true labor of love. It's hard and time consuming and with very little support other than wellwishers. It's a small competition to begin with and we are lost in the list of competitions in the US. I'm hoping that people at least come and watch.

Arsenette - even though this is the weekend after Worlds and I'll be dead tired, I'll come out there to watch... just remind me, 'kay? ;)

And thanks for having it so near me - hmm, I think its easier for me to get to South Mountain than Hackensack.

She forgot to mention she was really the star of the competition - everyone wanted to speak to Arsenette! I had to wait till the end of the competition and for almost everyone to leave before she had any time for me! :P

I was only there Saturday evening for the freeskates. Didn't take any notes, so no detailed review... there were skaters of various levels, only 1 senior - Kristine, who Arsenette tells me had broke her skate just days before, and wasn't having the best of days on the ice from what I could see, but that's ok, she had no competition! ;)

When was Johnny Weir there? I don't remember seeing him! :P

Very funny Adrian  Most of our skaters meet up with me via phone or internet so many have never seen me before (live) and get a kick out of meeting the "person on the other line".. some I haven't seen in 2 years (last Championships).. It's weird for me as well but I guess it goes with the territory when you start something like this  It's something I will never get used to.. did you notice I hid most of the time in the announcement booth  I designed that on purpose - would never get anything done otherwise - and would never get to see any of our skaters!! ;)

Johnny was there on Sunday's Exhibition (12-2 PM). I thought you knew.. Opps.. screwed up.

For all intents and purposes - you could have fooled me! :P

Seemed like one big happy extended family at the comp! If there were any rivalries between the skaters - I certainly didn't feel it at all.

No no no.. you misunderstood me.. We Ricans.. just LOOOOOOVVVVEEE to socialize  That's what I meant about trying to get work done ;) Had I been in the Registration table I would never get the operation of the competition working.. I'd be talking and talking and talking.. heck.. I'd be there now

I encourage GREATLY a community in our group. Yes.. there are "rivalries" but friendly ones.. EVERYONE wants that top spot (the trophy for overall winner).. but nobody clubs anyone for it
