The NY Times has had two long articles about the Grand Prix finals, yesterday and today, both written by Sal Zanca. But in today's paper, there are several articles about USOC CEO Lloyd Ward's resignation, and at the end of one of them, written by Jayson Blair, the athlete interviewed about the situation is Sasha Cohen. Here's what she had to say:
"I was aware of it. But I don't really pay too much attention to that. I am just more focused on my skating, but it will be interesting to see how everything turns out."
I just think it's funny that out of all the hundreds of US Olympic athletes, it was our Sasha they picked to quote (my mother, the world's biggest, and probably oldest, Sasha fan, will be so proud!).
And just in case this needs to be stated, if someone links the NY Times Grand Prix articles, they report the results.
