it alternates between sal and loop...to me, axel is just there...its not really a jump that is good or bad, but one that has to be done, no matter what. So its kind of a toss-up as to where to put it :P

Depends if you mean to watch or to do. :) To watch, I like axels best, and flips and lutzes if they're done well. To do, I love flips when I do a good one. :)

Know what? Since most of these triple jumps excluding the axel all pretty much look the same, I mean it all comes down to which side of the blade the skater takes off and lands on, then I would say any triple that any given skater can land without wobbling and makes it look elegant and easy is a favorate of mine. :D

To do:

flip, axel, loop, toe loop, salchow, and finally the evil lutz

To watch:

Big, huge delayed axels, which unfortunately aren't done very much anymore.

I love edge-jump combos, like the 3sal3loop -- the second jump just seems to come from nowhere!

I also love any jump out of footwork or MITF.

To watch:
Loops, salchows cuz they look so smooth when they're done well.
To do:
I know a waltz jump and a toe loop and my toe loops pretty crappy, so i like my waltz better.

For me, lutz, toe, flip, axel, loop, salchow
I love lutzes because of their pure power in vaulting upwards. It gets the most air time of all my jumps. I was so good at the lutz that my second double jump was a lutz. :P
Toes are great for their flow, but for some reason I never feel as secure as the lutz when jumping.
Flips are pretty powerful too, but I hate how the slightest curve in its path or off-timing can throw the jump off.
Axels are powerful, but they're still scary. Plus I have trouble bringing that leg back in after flinging it forward.
Loops...blargh. I get no power/lift
Salchows are uncomfortable as hell for me. Sometimes I actually switch over to a back outside edge because it feels so unnatural.

It's which skater does it the best.

Petr Barna from Czechoslovakia had an amazing triple loop and triple flip. Incredible speed, heigh and power. Same with Christopher Bowman.

Brian Boitano's triple axel was awesome. Flew over the boards, he got so much height. Same with Ilya Kulik and Midori Ito.

I love Liz Manley's triple salchow and triple toe loop. Again, another power skater.

As for the best lutz, Paul Wylie and Michelle Kwan really know how to sell this jump, placing it at a high point in their programs.

I'll get back in my box now.

well since i have a friend who skates she has taught me how to do some skating jumps so my fave to do is either a single loop or double lutz and then to watch delyaed double axels and then good strong triple anything!
