1. Is the lady allowed to perform a second jump, i.e. combo after let's say a throw-3-sal?

2. Has anyone done a throw-combo?

At US Nationals this year, one of the junior teams had the lady do a double toe after she landed a throw. It would be hard to time a side by side jump after the throw, however, so I doubt you'll see one any time soon.

The team at Nationals was Vlassov/Meekins, who skated as novices. Julia did a 2toe directly out of a throw axel.

Back in the 80s, Selezneva and Makarov used to do a throw 2axel that stepped up directly into SBS 2axels. Ina and Dungjen, and now Zhang/Zhang, have performed throw 3salchow almost directly into SBS 3toes.

Was this a junior team? I know Vlassov & Meekins, fourth in novice, had a combination of throw single axel-double toe, but I don't remember hearing that any of the junior teams did a similar combo.

This isn't that common a thing for pairs to do, but I have seen it before. I would assume it would require the female partner to be a stronger-than-usual (for pairs) single skater because it takes a high level of control to be able to land the throw cleanly and go right into another jump without taking any steps. In the case of Vlassov & Meekins, of course, she's the national juvenile ladies champ, so she is obviously a stronger singles skater than most pair girls her age. :)

I can always count on Trillian and Louis to correct my faulty memories. Yes, it was a novice team, not a junior team.

I have been thinking of a similar question. Have any pairs ever done a side by side combination jump. If they did, how much would this raise the technical score. Also, has anyone done a side by side triple lutz. What go me thinking about his was the suggestion that Aaron Parcham & Amber Corin could team up. I was wondering what would be the best way to capitalize on strong singles skills.

One of the Russian teams was doing a sbs jump combo last year ... but I can't for the life of me remember who.

Totmianina/Marinin. They have been doing SBS 3toe/2toe combos for several years now. T&M and Inoue/Baldwin have both attempted SBS 3lutzes, but neither pair has landed them cleanly in competition.
