Sry if I've missed a few, these are the skaters that come to mind when thinking of the past, present and future of Canadian Men's skating! If you have any other suggestions, please post!

Looking forward to seeing what ppl think!;)

I picked Kurt and there is no doubt in my mind he is the best canadian skater. I really like Brian Orser and Jeff Buttle but Kurt is my favorite skater and for a lot of reasons.

I said Elvis, but Kurt is a close second :)

It was hard to choose between Kurt and Brian, but I finally settled on Kurt.
Brian was and still is a wonderful skater. I have a deep respect for all he has done and experienced, and for his influence on figure skating in Canada.
Kurt, however, is simply a genius. He can skate to any style of music and establish his character and mood within 10 seconds. He is a brilliant, creative, choreographer. There have been times when I think I have seen enough of Kurt for a while, then he skates a new program that simply blows me away and I become a fan all over again.

Kurt by a long shot.

Jeff has the potential to be everything that Kurt is. I see a flair for movement on the ice, jumps that come from nowhere and a willingness to try different styles of music -- all the things that have made Kurt so wonderful over the years.

I'm quite looking forward to watching Jeff for the next few years...:)

Kurt, then Brian O, then Jackson.

I maintain that Kurt is the best male skater ever, not just in Canada...lol

Canada is lucky to have so many fine skaters, but Elvis is the best.

My choice is Elvis. At his best, he was what men's figure skating should be - strong, powerful, huge jumps, an overwhelming presence on the ice that captured the attention of the whole arena. It was the force of his competitive spirit that pushed men's skating to the technical heights it has reached today. And when things didn't go well for him, he was still what men's figure skating (in fact all sports) should be about - courage, tenacity, and good sportsmanship. He made me proud to say "I am Canadian!" How can there be any other choice?

Although Elvis definitely gets bonus marks for sportship and the embodyment of a true athlete, I voted Kurt. Even with runners up (in my mind) of Brian O. and Toller, Kurt was a no-brainer choice. Elvis isn't even in the running for an "all time" title, IMO, simply because of his lack of versatility.

I think that both Eman and Jeff have the potential to be the best ever, but neither is there yet, and of course they're both still competing and developing.

I voted for Kurt.

Such a range of programs and when he was an amateur he led the pack technically with the first quad, 3 triple triples, the 3 sal-3loop combo which is still a rare sight in the mens ranks these days.

Kurt Browning, one of the all time greats...in every way, a total inspiration to all coming after him, from ANY country...

Except for the lutz, ROFL!

I would have to be different... Brian Orser all the way

I wish I could say Brian O., because he was my teen idol :), but I am realistic.

Although I can only agree with whoever it is who said that if it had not been for  compulsories, Brian might have been 2 times an Oly champion.

These results are interesting...I would say that it's a tie between Brian and Kurt. I can't decide who I like more. They both have done so much for our sport in Canada, and continue to do so. As for the future, I believe that Shawn will play a huge part in what is to come over the years.

I agree with all the accolades for Brian, the all over quality of his skating is amazing. Brian’s Somewhere in Time can make you weep with pleasure, it is so good, that is quite an accomplishment for an “old guy”. But it is more than just his skating; it is Brian as a person that his fans love about him.

I did put him second to Kurt, see above, because it hard for any skater to be up against Kurt, hard to beat a brilliant/genius, but Brian’s second is deserved because he is a complete skater and all the medals he has earned.
