The Matrix soundtrack has a great song called Clubbed to Death. It sounds horrible, but it is a lovely instrumental. There might be some other good stuff on the CD too, since you can use vocals. I've seen it used for singles skaters, but I think it could be dance too.

I hear Bond music at least six times a day at every club competition, so if you want to avoid picking something that someone else is using, stay away from Bond.

Here's some stuff that I haven't seen used in competition as often (or ever).

What about a bluegrass/Appalachian folk free dance? Something like "Man of Constant Sorrow" (from O Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrack), "Ashokian Farewell" (which is a waltz tempo, best version would be on the Mark O'Connor CD, "Heroes" but you can find lots of versions of it), and then something really fast, like "Orange Blossom Special" or "Cherokee Shuffle" (good version of that one is on a CD called "Ghost Train" by the Hot Club of Cowtown).

There's also a very nice bolero-esque piece called "The Grande Passion", which is on Al Di Meolo's CD of the same name.

Norwegian Folk Music, perhaps? Try Annbjorg Lien. (Fast and harsh, pagan sounding fiddle based music).

Weird modern tango/club dance meld.... look into a band called Gotan Project.

Seeing D/S od this year maybe a baroque free dance would be a great idea, something by Johann Sebastian Bach or by George Philipp Telemann.

Impromptu,
those skaters usually using bond are little FREESTYLE girls....and i dont think i heard anyone skate to bond at the lake placid ice dancing championships (maybe on or two teams). so if youre going to put down some one's suggestion, please make sure that you think it through. remember...it is only a suggestion.

oh yea...and jsut because maybe more than one person might be using it...doesnt mean its not worth listening to. its very good music, especially for freedance because it has a strong back beat (a requirement for freedance music).

Bond has been used by many icedancers.
Several teams used it last year and the year before.
It is wonderful music with a dynamic sound, but I agree that it has been overused lately.
I know a team that has been seriously considering the identical music/theme suggested(oh brother where art thou) so shhhhhh...dont mention it to anyone PLEASE!

Well if you want something different I have a couple of suggestions. I am not sure if they would be too exhibitiony but I think could be good fun:

Brian Setzer and Gwen Stefani - you're the boss (from the album "The dirty boogie") - it is a boy/girl style song but could definately create some good interplay between the skaters. B&S performed this as an exhibition once.

Maybe a selection of 80's music from the Wedding Singer soundtracks

Brian Ferry - Let's stick together - he dresses in a suit and she dresses in leopard print (you might want to check out the video if you can get it)

Try a Belgium band called Vaya Con Dios - they have a jazzy/bluesy feel to their music - the woman is a fantastic singer and the music is pretty accessible (an audience won't freak out when they hear it)

Maybe the Stray Cats - you could do the Stray Cat Strut but also combine it with a couple of their rockier pieces like Rock this House. You could do a really good jive to this type of music

A Blondie tribute - Heart of Glass and various other Blondie songs could be combined

I love the Noir Soundtrack (it's an Anime)

You can actually download the whole sucker here:

Noir Soundtrack (http://www.jaccinc.com/~amp3/_noirost1.htm)

Some are in another language but there are a LOT of instrumentals (love #5 - Corsican Corridors).. there are 4 soundtracks altogether and maybe you can listen to them and find something from there.. I can't stop listening to these - I guarantee you.. you won't hear any of this music.. most people don't listen to anime music.. which is a shame.. some of this stuff is just AWESOME!!
