Hello... I wasn't sure where to post this, but I was wondering if there are any of you that post here that are Skate Canada officials.... what I am wondering is what it is that your job involves? If there aren't any officials here, is there anyone who knows what is involved with that title?

Thanks in advance :)

When someone is designated a skate canada official, it generally means they are either a judge or an accountant. I am not sure if the various board members are also considered officials...maybe someone else can enlighten us?

Officials can refer to people like Pam Coburn, Benoit Lavoie, even the Stongs.

Officials are judges/ evaluators or accountants.

In my 12 years on club and regional boards, I have never heard of a board member, either at the local or national level refered to as an official.

Well fans refer to them as officials. At Canadians, they're all sitting in one big section behind the judges surrounded by their bodyguards and they're referred to as either SC officials or the SC "brass".

What else should they be called? Skate Canada "executives"?

yes,

If you look at a Skate canada membership listing, Marilyn Chidlow is listed as Executive, Benoit Lavoie as Official, and Jennifer Robinson as member
