The last thread got off topic a bit, so I though I would try again. There are so many girls looking for partners so I was wondering what has happened with these boys that showed some promise.
Joseph Braasch-quit to finish school?
Nick Traxler-currently pursuing tryouts?
Matthew Inman-he was at Placid, but no one is sure of his current status.
Jake Villanuave-does anyone know if he is still skating?
Yuri Antonov-where is he these days?

Add Denys Latyshev to the list above, he skated with Stacy Carter at Placid.

I ran into the UDel testing schedule while looking for something else online. Jake is still testing in dance. Surely someone from UDel knows what's up with him?

I thought Denis Latyshev was skating with Brittany May now.

Brittany May is still skating?! I thought she was going to marry Yuri Antonov at one point.....
I still want to know what's up with Nick Traxler and why he didn't skate at Nationals in Dallas. I thought he had a partner. What happened?

Brittany May is now skating with Denys in Wilmington, DE training with Igor Yarashenko and Irina Romanova and I believe Yuri Antonov is coaching in Connecticut.

He was skating with Crystal Beckerdite early in the season, but evidently it didn't work out because they split not long after Lake Placid.

That's too bad. I've always liked Nick's skating. Hopefully he'll find another partner.

nick and crystal split because (i wont mention who) one of the pair didnt comply with the verbal agreement they had arranged, which was one would move for the summer to train at one of the partners training hometown and then that person would move after placid to the others training town permanently. i hope that is clear. well anyway after placid, the agreement was broken and denied by one of the partners.
nick is still looking for a partner. he trains and coaches in plano, TX. he is very strong and has the most expression that i have EVER seen from a male skater (partly because of sexual status, maybe mostly because of it).
i liked denys and stacey at placid. they did very well for there first season together (5th out of 16). especially since i think she is new to dance altogether!
whats going on with ben cohen?

Thanks snowflake. Your explaination was very clear. ;) Good luck to Nick with his partner search.
You know, I haven't heard anything about Ben Cohen. Does anyone know what's going on with him?

Dear Snow flake, perhaps you should remember there are two sides to every story. Your explaination is your version. There are other versions of this story and they should NOT be discussed on this forum.

dear sk8around,
if i have offended you in any way, i am sorry. i understand that there is two sides to every story, i guess thats the side i heard. it may or may not have been wholly true, and im sorry if i didnt cover it entirely. i dont know the skaters personally and that story was through the grapevine. so once again, i apologize if i have offended you.

Dear Snowflake,
I appreciate your apology and there is more information that caused them to split, but it isn't necessary to share this. I wish them both the best.

Great to hear he is still around, did the site say what dances he is testing?

The schedule is at http://www.udel.edu/udfsc/testsch/021703gold.html . I guess it doesn't mean he's still interested in competing...

i remeber jake skating with ashley williams. i always wondered why they broke up....does anyone know? they did really well their first season at novice (i think third or fourth or maybe fifth at nationals). i do remember them doing very well at novice in lake placid. he is a very strong skater, as was she, and hope he finds a new partner. does anyone know if he does have a partner yet?

Jake and Ashley didn't make it out of Easterns that year after falling in the freedance. JK
