Unbelievable that she tried to compete at Nationals with all these problems! I wonder how long her injury has been that bad? And I'm curious what she's doing in Alabama! :p

Angela's shoulder problem sounds painful. Best of luck to her.
It's nice to know that Angela is plannning to compete in the 03-04 season.

Ouch, It sounds like a torn rotator cuff. These can take a long time to recover from. My mom had this surgry last year and has needed a lot of PT plus exercises on her own and she still has trouble. I wish Angela a speedy recovery and she's young so she should be able to bounce back.
I'd love nothing better than to see Angela get all healed up and come back next season kicking butt!
I'm pleased to hear she's finally having her injury taken care of...

To the question of why she's in Alabama....isn't that where Kyoko went for her shoulder surgery?

Sorry to hear about Angelas injuries to her shoulder. I've always admired her beauty and grace on the ice. I hope that she has a smooth recovery and knows we are all thinking of her.

I believe the surgeon is well-known in the field, and he seems to operate on a lot of famous athletes. He did Ina's surgery, and, IIRC from my local paper, he's operated on a couple of Orioles players in recent years.

Angela is my favourite women's skater, so I'm happy for her that she's going to (hopefully) be able to get proper healing for this nagging injury. She'll be in my prayers and I'm looking forward to a successful return to competition next year!

I've really grown to enjoy Angela as a skater. I hope she has a good recovery and come back even better.

Angela is in my thoughts and prayers and I hope she has the speediest of recoveries. I've been battling with complications from a fractured shoulder since August, and shoulder injuries are not fun to say the least! How she even attempted to skate at Nationals with all those problems is beyond me. Hopefully this surgery will allow Angela to have a complete recoery so she'll be good to go next season!

In a way, I'm relieved that her poor performances and withdrawals of late have been due to her shoulder and not her head.
A speedy recovery to Angela! Rest up, take it easy, and come back next season better than ever!
(And please keep the gorgeous "Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun" free skate!)
