Well, I just read the news in my Blade runners magazine. The Scott Hamilton & Friends show will be Oct. 23 at the First Union Center. And I am very surprised that the show won't be in Cleveland like in past years. This show is a fund raiser for the Cleveland Taussig Cancer Center.
I'll miss seeing the show live, but it will be shown on NBC in Dec. BTW, they've chosen the same musicans as last year, "Jack Mack & the Heart Attack." Can't say I like the choice of music. It's really not the best music to skate to. Oh well!
Scott is going to have two shows this year. The October 23rd show in Philadelphia, Scott Hamilton and Friends on Ice, is going to be taped for NBC.
Scott's charity show in Cleveland is called An Evening With Scott Hamilton & Friends on Ice and will be held on September 21. It is not taped for TV. His web site (http://www.scottcares.com) has some more information, but tickets aren't on sale for that show yet.

Thanks for the info Mary. I was positive he was still having the Cleveland show. And since the names of the shows are similar I was confused.

What am I doing? 8O
I just bought one of those VIP on ice seats - the $100 one - and I don't even know who's gonna be there! :D
For the Philly show - I can't make Cleveland, and I'm gonna have to rush down to Philly from work since its a weekday even.
So - what did I just do? :?:
Spent more money...that's what you did! ;)

Good luck Adrian - I bought $100 front row seats at the Union Center for Improv on Ice. Yeah it was technically "first row" - but they put 10-15 rows of seats on the ice ahead of us. We couldn't even see half of the skating. We moved to some empty seats that were 11th row corner from which we could see better than from our "1st row seats". I hope this isn't going to happen to you. (We complained and were later given free tickets to COI.) At least with $100 tickets you got to go to the reception, however it was waaaaay overcrowded, wall to wall people in a small space.

Adrian, is there a reception included in the $100 ticket price? I saw Skaters Tribute to Broadway there in 98 and we got to go upstairs and meet the skaters, wine, beer, snacks, etc. We were in Row 2 for that and I moved to Row 1 during the intermission. i am thinking of going.
Last I heard Todd, kristi, Kurt, Meno and Sand and Roca and Sur were going to be there. That's all that I know.
Have fun.

The way the ticket seat was worded when I saw it - it sounds like this is Row 2 of the 10-15 rows of seats they put in front of what is actually Row 1 there. It made no sense because it wasn't in any section on the seating chart.
