Now that iskater is no more, what has become of the lovely Polly? Does she live on any other sites?:D :?: :P

Well, I wasn't going to let the cat out of the bag quite so soon, but our very own lovely Polly has been spending a lot of time in Patsy's Parlor the past few months.
Sustained by a fluffy afghan, the friendly kitties, and the extraordinary munchies, she's re-choreographed all her programs, acquired a new partner for her pairs aspect, yet another new partner for her dance career, and is busy sewing even MORE sequins 8O 8O 8O on her oh-so-unique, not to mention verging-on-illegal singles costumes.
It's not widely known, but Polly HAS qualified for our World's teams in all three disciplines.

:P  :D
I am so-o-o-o-o glad to hear she is well!!!!! Once FSW decided to go mercenary on me, I found myself searching for news of her. Does she still do the "falling tree'' move?
ETA: Glad to hear she qualified again!!!! Must have added to her growing Pewter collection.

Darrell--help me out here with Polly's true last name. Did I get it right? I don't dare go up to her in The Parlor and ask . . . . one doesn't ask Sonja Hennie is one has spelled "Sonja" correctly, now does one?
Or was your classy phrase "our lovely Polly" a subtle stab at identifying the person while not letting the cat out of the bag that you couldn't remember either???

I thought she married over the summer and her name is now Polly Pooperack-Chack? Or did I dream that?

Oh it is wonderful to hear about the delightful Ms Pooperak again. I think since the demise of FSW and no skating fluff forum here, Polly has sort of gone underground. But from what I hear she is hurriedly getting ready for 4CCs and Worlds.
But another rumour is after this season SOI (Skaters On Icicles) have approached her to appear in their show. From what I understand it is close to a three figure sum for her to show off her falling tree each night.

Well, I heard a rumor she was now skating for Disney On Ice.
Isn't it just terrible, the rumors you hear on other boards

Patsy, I call her the lovely Polly because that is what she is. Has she really abandoned Wally as her partner? The "Polly-Wally duo all the way" banners I made will have to be stored away.
I have missed hearing of her. Glad to hear she is still around.:D 8-)
I don't know if she will go to 4CC this year after the trauma associated with her performance at 3CC, a country and 2 cities.:D

Wally is now her coach and manager, not to mention "very very good friend" (wink-wink, nudge-nudge).

ROTFLMAO!!!!
I know that from time to time her and Wally still do a double falling tree, where Wally stands on the barrier, Polly stands on top of his shoulders and they fall down at the same time while yelling "Timber" together. They call it their "Ode to the Californian Redwood" and is performed in honor of all those lumberjacks who have lost lives in the the various log rolling competitions held around the world. They then do their imitation of a rolling log.

Blade1,
Polly is a skater created from the minds of the SILLY ( ;) )members of FSW! at one point, she was more popular than michelle!

Ah.. Polly.. we've adopted her.. she's now Puerto Rican  .. ehem.. :halo: Heck.. how many times has she won the Olympics? ;)

Polly has been a wonderful outlet for those of us who observe trends in skating and exaggerate them. Her outfits are made entirely of illusion fabric, with appropriately placed sequins. She has countered Michelle's 2 falling leaves with her own falling tree. Her two-leg beilmann has to be seen to be believed.
Her antics keep me interested and entertained during "off season".:D ;)

Ahh I thought it was some sort of silliness just I didn't know how it was related to skating or what skater for that matter.

Now I'd love to see that -- what originality and flexibility!

I forgot about her two legged Beillman!
From what I hear Polly's latest venture is to skate standing on her hands (yes specially designed boots on her hands). And she has a new type of blade called the Speedum Blade.

Is the Speedum blade attached to the newly designed Givemda boot?
I hear she's working on her own version of the Charlotte. She calls it the Carlotta, and it involves castanets. (sp)

Why Darrell - yes those blades are attached to those boots.
As for the Carlotta - she does that dressed as a drag queen - the castanets are a perfect accessory. I heard though she takes the leg past vertical so that her free leg almost touches the ice. Requires incredible flexibility.

I am looking for a few people myself. But does anyone know for sure what's become of iskaterv?

don't know 100% but all their emails bounce back, their phone has been cut off as well. I'd say they've been flushed right down the toilet
FSWer is talking about a former poster named iskaterv.
Although chacked, Polly's performace at the 3CC illicted gushing comments from all who saw it.
Dick was quoted as saying 'Her freeleg position continues to be ghastly, however her ability to bend at the knee in both directions certainly impresses.'
Peggy commented: 'Polly's sense of style is truly unique. What may have been an interesting split jury was made more predictable, as she clearly she took heavy deductions for her use of mexican percussion instruments as props, as well as the typical costume violations.'

Thanks, Doug! Polly has always been one to fly in the face of traditions in skating. Who could ever forget her anger at the French judge after receiving her marks. She quickly displayed her own version of the "Triple Flip". She was s-o-o-o-o-o robbed.

Polly needs our support, gang!
She was working on her special exhibition performance to "Coat of many Colors of the WInd beneath my Wings".
In the spirit of unity, and to show that we are all one, she decided to make her costume from swatches of illusion fabric "donated" by all the other ladies in figure skating. After being turned down several times, by various skaters, Polly resorted to more aggressive tactics. She could be seen ripping at the costumes of many a skater as they prepared to take the ice. Several skaters have had to get restraining orders against her.
Show your love for Polly. Send her a
:D . Send her a <3. It doesn't even have to be your own! 8O

If I'm thinking of the right person, I think she skated in a competition with me weekend before last.

Well, that user name isn't in the member list. She could be lurking here under another name, or she could just not be interested anymore. Either way, people have asked about her mulitple times with no response from her, so I think it's safe to assume that she's either not on this board or she doesn't want to be found.
