I'd love to see either Angela or Amber win Nationals. Heck I'd settle for either one of them just winning a medal.

ap put forth a fine skate at nationals. it's probably unrealistic to wish her to be the next us champ, but....

i have concerns after watching sasha's tentative approach to a really tight ladies competition, in that she lost it in her head before she actually skated. the look on her face (as i saw on the rerun on espn tonight) said it all. why did she leave nicks for tarasova?

when michele skated a near perfect program and sarah, though not perfect, skated a really good and relaxed program. sasha looked like a deer in the headlights going out there.

ap just went out there and got the job done. if sasha can't get the emotional thing under control we may see ap advance to contend next year.

I thought this was Worlds- sorry. My choice, Sasha.

Well, in my heart of hearts I'm always thrilled to see Michelle win, but...my wish for Nationals on ANY year is always for the lady who meets the moment and skates the two cleanest programs with the best presentation overall to win. As long as the judges are fair, I am happy.

MICHELLE??

Aren't any of you ready for a change?

It would be nice to see some new faces on the World Teams!

Please vote if you haven't already. I would like to have at least 200 votes. The larger the sample of opinions, the better my class project will be!

THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!

The best skate at the comp. I hope for Michelle.

Sarah. Michelle's got 7 titles now -- she can share. 8-)

Michelle: As long as she competes, I root for her.

Michelle, of course. And hopefully skating as beautifully as she
did this year.

How about - anyone BUT Michelle? None of the others competiting have won the National title and it would be nice to see one of them rising to the challenge and doing so good at Nationals that they deserve to win the title... that would be what I'd like to see, someone (any of the other skaters) rise up to the challenge, with Michelle still competiting too of course. ;)

Well, then I guess I can say "anyone BUT Sasha", because that is just my opinion......

I like..."anyone who can deliver the goods when the goods need to be delivered".

I don't care who is the next National Champion, as long as they deserve it, and wear the crown well.

Correct - unless you happen to be one of those type of posters I've previously mentioned in announcements. Thanks for the tipoff. ;)

Folks wondering about the game playing that goes on by some posters, can see what happened after this poster was suspended...

If we're going to put Erica and Natalie on this poll, why not add Alissa Czisny?

Too early for me to answer this poll. I generally wish for the lady with the best skate to win. I will think of a list for the skating gods in Jan 2004. I generally do not root against any skaters, for fear of tempting the skating gods.

Michelle
She is the only one who has consistantly combined jump and spin technique with quailty presentation and audience appeal.
It is absurd to ask an athlete to "share" her spot that she earned at the top.
It seems to me that a sport isnt about doing favors to those who havnt measured up.
Michelle was, is and will be the Nationals champ...again.

Is it true that a poster was kicked off for saying she hoped anyone but Sasha would win????????????8O 8O 8O 8O
If so, that is ludicrous!

No it isn't - unfortunately some people haven't bothered to read the Announcements here. Bye bye!

Definitely Michelle. Eight would be nice, but hey, why not ten? I think ten is a nice round number. ;) As for the "she should step aside and let others have their chance" argument, well, if others want the title, they'll have to skate for it. MK's LP is the only program from the U.S. Nationals ladies competition this year that I've watched repeatedly. I watched Sarah's twice to admire the technical complexity of her choreography, but as far as the rest of the tape, if I lost it, I wouldn't even notice or care, as long as I had a copy of Michelle's LP. If the other U.S. ladies can match that kind of brilliance, more power to 'em, but IMHO, none of them have done it yet, or even come close.
