Gerswin On Ice ???

I had turned on my TV (ABC) couple minutes before the National Exhibition and saw the ending credits of Gerswin On Ice. What is that show about and who are in it? I'm so mad that I missed it since I didn't see it on Heather's skating schedule. If anybody saw the show, please give a review who skated to what. Thanks alot...

I was only half-heartedly watching the show. The skaters were performing a tribute to Gershwin by skating to some of his well-known compositions on a stage. There skaters that I recognized were Alexander Fadeev, Lisa-Marie Allen, Robert Wagoner, Tiffany Chin, the professional pair from Sun Valley Hartwig and ???. There were several more skaters that I didn't recognize.

When I saw Robert Wagoner in the show I knew that this show had to be taped many years ago, because Robert past away a couple of years ago. I was suprised that Tiffany and Lisa-Marie were able to do 2axel on the small stage. An unknown lady did a very nice broken leg sit spin which we rarely see.

It was a pleasant show. Nothing great. The skaters did well giving the confine of the small stage.

I didn't even watch the whole show (went and played some Gershwin CDs instead!). It was just too painful to watch that stilted choreography on that postage-stamp-sized stage. Bad enough for 1 skater, never mind when they brought out the whole cast. Not blaming the skaters--as Alexeiskate said, they did the best they could.

So IMO, you didn't miss much.

The skater in this show was Robert Wagonhoffer who was indeed a wonderful skater. I believe Dorothy Hamill was also in this show.
