Artur Dmitriev. Oh yes!! But not the most beautiful, nor the most cute, nor the most pretty, nor the most adorable (that goes to Brian 'Baboo' Joubert')--just quite simply the sexiest man on ice. He has an attractive face, but he more importantly he exudes passion, sensuality, raw masculinity, and power. There is something potently earthy about him--who else can skate overweight with a gut hanging down and STILL look ready to parlay?

He reminds a bit of the French actor Gerard Depardeue (best known to Americans in 'Green card'). He loves to eat steak, drink wine, smoke cigs, listen to music and smell fine aromas, of course enjoy beautiful women--love all things sensual about life, in short. Artur has that same quality. And something warm and secure about him as well.

He's a man among boys on the ice. Loved that clip a few years back at '94 Olympics with him throwing Artur Junior up in the air.

Hope this sneaks by--there are teen girls on this board!!

Awww, it's hard to do everything right to everyone, huh? :oops:

The relative high number of those who used the "Others" option tells me that I obviously wasn't quite up to date with my choices. Actually, I still wouldn't change anything, with the exception of putting Gwendal in and Plushy out maybe. And I wanted to reduce the number of options to 10, just to make it more clear. Personally I never would've even got the idea to consider Arthur, Anton, Ilia A., Elvis or Maurizio being beautiful and/or sexy. But, oh well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? :) (Just wonder why nobody mentioned Weiss so far ... ;))

So forgive me, folks! Seems it's almost impossible to make an unbiased selection for a poll! At least I was "smart" enough to put the "Others" option in it...! :D

Or - if you prefer - just count YOUR personal choice of beautiful guys (skaters!) down from one to five ... can't wait!

I love your description of Artur, Gaela! He's THE manliest skater around. Is he dealing with Oksana K? He's always so sweet to her after they skate. Maybe that's just his way.

My pick was Peter T (naturally), but Joubert is indeed one to watch, as well as Fedor. Also, Gwendal is even more beautiful in person than he is on TV, which hardly seems possible. Mauricio has that Italian thing, which always does me in. Elvis has such a warm personality. Phillipe should leave his clothes on. Yagudin is on too many "must have" lists, and Kulik is Katia's guy, so I'll leave him off my list.

And they wonder why so many of us are addicted to this sport!;)

Me too! Even more so after seeing him skate Nyah from the fifth row. He was right in front of me in the dark and I didn't know it was him, because I hadn't realized what a well developed upper body he has.
