These results are not 100%, but someone can check out the website for sure.

Ladies:
1. Drei
2. Kettuen
3. Pokio

Well if this is the results than all three are going to europeans, however worlds they only have two spots I believe and probably be figured out later.

Ok, the stupid Winter Universidade site has NO RESULTS PAGE!!! But by reading acouple of news articles I think it came out like this:

Final Results
1. Arakawa
2. Lien
3. Hawker

Great job for Lien, so maybe withdrawing from Nationals was a good idea. Basova didn't do to well and Carter of Australia was 4th in the SP, but didn't get in the top 3 in the Free. If someone can get full results, that would be nice because there were some big names competiting.

OMG Wohoo! Go Hawker! This has to be a highlight for Leslie... She talked to my son last week and said, you know about that? Check results on the internet! Canada's First Medal of the World University Games, This must have been a career skate for her... Good result also for Arakawa...

I was at the winteruniversiade and competed. I came in 15th place. I can tell you a little about the competition.

Shizuka Arakawa: clean short program and in freeskating she was stunning!! All tripplejumps and a 3s+3l (step out). Good choreography. We will not see this good at Europeans.

Angela Lien: Didnīt see her short program but heard that she missed one jump, but had very nice skating with flow. In the freeskating she did 3s+2t, 3t, 3s and 3r (step out) and 2a. Very nice skating.

Lesley Hawker: Missed one jump in short program. Didnīt see her long program because I was skating after her. But heard that she did 3l and 3f and one more tripple. Everyone else was missing so this was a good enough program.

Joanne Carter only did 2axel and 3t in free and doubled the rest of her jumps. Very fast skating!!!

Nadine Gosselin missed 3l in short program but did 2a and 3s. In long program she again did only 2a and 3s. Was falling down on the rest. She was very dissapointed afterwards.

Basova doubled all her jumps in short program and was only number 13th. In long she did at least 3l, 3f and 3s then I donīt know because I had to go in and take my skates on.

If you want to hear about more skaters please ask me and I will see what I remember.

It was a really nice competition. It was in a small skiresort called Piancovallo. There only was skislopes, hotels and icehalls. Only 3 ore four stores!! The practisehall was newbuilt for the event and was very bad!! Had you been there ones you didnīt get back. The ice was very strange. You didnīt get any speed on it and in the spins I almost was stuck in the ice. One wall was open and the sun was coming in at the day so half the ice was drunk in sun. You didnīt know where you were when you was jumping. So everybody was on the other side on the ice.
The competition hall was nice. Not so very big but I think for maybe 1000-2000 people. We thought that in this small village there wonīt be any public, but we had wrong. The night on the long program there wasnīt a place left. People was standing behind the seats to so I couldnīt go there to videotape my teamate. I had to go to the ciss and cry area. Snowboard was in the same town as we were so there was many snowboardskaters to look at us. They applaud and cheered at just doublejumps because they didnīt see the differents.
The rooms on the hotel was not so god. We had very cold and I had to sleep in long trousers and long sweater. The food was very good. To every lunch and dinner you first get a pasta and then some meet and stuff!!
