And great for Tracy Wilson and Rob McCall *and* Michael Jiranek, Kurt's coach for most of Kurt's eligible days *and* Barbara Graham. In fact, this honour is long overdue for Tracy and Rob, the last of the Calgary medalists to be inducted to the SC Hall. Congratulations to *all* of the inductees!!

I'm confused...don't you have to wait like 5 years after retirement to be inducted in the HoF? In any case, YAYY Elvis! :)

Usually you do but, exceptions can be made for exceptional athletes. This was done for Wayne Gretzky and the Hockey Hall of fame when he retired.

I second that one. They have all accomplished so much.
I think it's need too that Elvis made that "exceptional list" for he is truly exceptional person, athlete and representative for Canada.

Congratulations to Elvis! He is a great champion and has always represented his country so well, it is totally fitting that he be admitted and so swiftly, too!

Does anyone know what other skaters are in the Skate Canada Hall of Fame? The only one I know of for sure is Debbie Wilkes because I saw her inducted at the 2001 Canadian Championships in Winnipeg. Is there somewhere on the web where it is listed?

Check out the Skate Canada website - the list of all those "athletes" and "builders" who have been put in the Hall of Fame since 1990 is available there if you follow the links.

Yup, read this on the Skate Canada site. This is so cool. He's not even done doing the Olympic COI Tour yet from his last eligible year. What can we say, Elvis is Elvis. He'll always be in the building! Great skater and guy to emulate on and off of the ice. Thanks Elvis for inspiring me to learn to skate and to compete!
