how are you going to watch Nationals?

For those of us who don't get to make the actual trek to Nationals, how do you plan to watch it? I'm going to go back to my old dorm to watch it with a friend... hopefully we will be able to nab a TV. I think we should be able to since it starts at 4 in the afternoon on a Saturday... there shouldn't be many competing programs, right?

I'm wondering whether the 2 hour break in between the skating chunks will be enough time to go grab something to eat, or whether we should order something. Anyway, it will be fun! 5 hours of skating... ahhh... 8-) There's a rink right outside the dorm too, so maybe after we finish watching, we can go skating ourselves.. if it's not absurdly cold that is. Seriously, I'm totally looking forward to this as a treat to myself for all the work I'm doing right now ;).

I will be doing a variation between sitting my "chair" and sprawling out on my bed. While in my chair, I'll be at my comp being a nervous wreck and talking to my online buddies that'll be watching nats. who will be just as bad off as me. I'll also be phoning my aunt and grandma to remind them to not forget to watch it.

Watch out for the football playoffs. There may be games on at that time, so check your local listings to be sure you're in the clear.

Probably with my nails digging holes in the arms of whoever gets stuck watching with me, because I'll be hoping for all my friends/rinkmates to do well. They won't all get televised, though.

I"ve heard the bad news that the dance and men's final will be preempted for college basketball. Boooooooooooooo!

Since I have a competition this weekend, I am planning on taping it all and watching it afterwards. Also, my friend Denise and I have a system where I get out the telephone headset and "watch" Nationals together, me in Missouri, her in Michigan. At least we can do this for the ladies final.

Pray my VCR did what (I think) I asked it to do today.

In a few minutes I'm going home, shedding clothes, putting on sweats and bunny slippers as the tape rewinds. By the time the tape's rewound, I'll have something in the microwave for dinner. I'm going to curl up on the couch with an afghan (it's about 11 degrees outside) and enjoy until dinner time. Then I'll eat and watch . . . on the couch, with the afghan still around me. All I need is hot chocolate. :)
