Congratulations Matt!!! I have a hard enough time just handling college, yet he's able to somehow manage both school & figure skating. A great accomplishment! I certainly want to wish him the best of luck in the future both on and off the ice. :)

Way to go, Matt!

I definitely agree that it is one thing to skate at his level.. but a whole other thing to be able to maintain a college education and to be able to graduate! What an example to set for the younger skaters who I'm sure might thing that skating is everything.

No one can do it all, and to be a full time athlete competing at an elite level and going to school is an accomplishment for any skater, whether they be 10th in novice at a local level or 1st at the senior international level. In getting a good education, Matt has ensured himself a good future. No one can skate (as a career) forever.
